The Job of the Basic Self
When we came into the physical embodiment, we picked up what we have termed a Basic Self. This Basic Self has come from a repository of basic selves, and its job is to hold the physical body intact on this physical plane. The basic self resists the spiritual thrust, and it's very mighty in its resistance.
Whenever we start elevating our consciousness, moving up through the process of Astral, Causal, Mental and Etheric levels karmic releasing, when we get into the Etheric area we are often dealing with the subconscious, and it is at this point where many people have fallen back down into the lower levels of consciousness.
Now the question of course seems to come up with many people, well, why did we come down here to choose this? To find our destiny we have to walk many paths. While we're walking that path here in the physical, we keep contact with the Spiritual Light. Then it matters very little where you put your feet or your head, or where you sleep, or any of these things. It really matters very, very little, because you're sleeping in the consciousness of Light.
