I never found God to be fickle but I found me to be fickle. Since God doesn't move, your awareness is moving. And it's not that we don't feel close to God; we are God. But the mundaneness of it is drinking and going to the toilet and driving a car. That's the mundaneness of it and it's also the boredom of it. So we think the other thing is going to be more exciting. So we want out-of-the-body experiences and we want to know all of this stuff. And out-of-the-body experiences can get very boring, especially if you keep going to the same place because that's your karmic repository you're trying to clean up.

John-Roger, DSS
As you love unconditionally, you love God, you love Spirit, and you experience a perpetual upliftment.

John-Roger, DSS
One day the glory of God within each one will shine forward, and people will stand face to face and look at each other in the consciousness of love and find out that "Yea, verily, when you've done it to the least of these you've done it to me," because that "me" is the great big one. Instead of saying, "I am that," or "I am that I am," you will say, "This I am." If you say, "I am that or that," it's not you. It is somebody else saying it. But when you say, "This I am," it is that which is that speaks, and it is not reflective or separated.

Love your life. Love your family. Love what you do as your work. Love your cars. Love your garage and your closets. Love the paint on the wall. Right there, I've just given you a challenge - to love the things in your life. Clean them up. Clear them up. And if you don't have paint for the wall that's peeling, just find a way to love that wall somehow, someway. Maybe just look upon it and see beauty there when everybody else sees an ugly peeling wall, that you're the one that loves that wall.

John Morton, DSS
Since you are in a physical body and are bound by the laws of this physical universe, you may as well accept, cooperate, and get on with it. There are negative and positive aspects to this physical level, and you do have a choice as to which you will support. You can go for money out of negative greed, go for money on the basis of need, or go for money for the joy of what it can get for you and others. Using the latter as a guideline permits you to live on the physical level in abundance and, simultaneously, to move into the higher consciousness.

John-Roger, DSS
If you judge those who are involved with drugs, you lock some of your energy up in that judgment and you are not free to move into your own full expression. We can't judge those who are involved with drugs, but we can help them get beyond these drug-induced experiences.

John-Roger, DSS
In short, the human experience is so vast, so layered, so multidimensional that it is unlikely science could ever design a robot approaching such complexity. What is even more miraculous is that all the ingredients of our humanity comprise only a small part of the rich experience available to us as total beings. This total being is the true self, who we really are. Who we think we are, or want others to think we are, is the false self. The false self (everything that is not truly you) is what you surrender in the process of becoming who you are. When you strip away the opinions and postures and addictions of the ego-driven personality, what remains is the role of a lifetime - playing yourself. You can start anytime. Why not right now? As you move away from the self-defeating patterns of the false self, you move closer to the source of nourishment and renewal. Here in the true self - the Soul - we find Spirit, and we come alive.

John-Roger, DSS
Spiritual exercises are of prime importance. They are your key to freedom. They're your key to getting off the wheel of incarnation. It takes a lot of energy, a lot of thrust, to break free of the negativity and conditioning of the lower realms. Chanting builds the spiritual energy so you have the resources to break into the Soul level and even higher.

John-Roger, DSS
Why be concerned about what somebody else is saying or thinking or following or doing? The most important thing that I could emphasize is that it does not matter what I or anyone else says. The only thing that matters is what you say to yourself in your Spirit as you lift and encourage yourself.

We do not have to renounce our past. We actually must acknowledge it in full, as if to say, "I did it all." And we surrender to ourselves in the Christ, as a blessing to live in the truth that is God's unconditional love, forgiving all, accepting all, blessing all.

John Morton, DSS
