At the point we experience our loving encompassing all things, we become aware that we're more than what we perceive. We're even more than what we experience. Then we're at a point where we're reaching into God and having God reveal the fullness of what life is. This is when the Spirit in our consciousness is coming into a greater maturity. That's when we start questing for a greater reality, a greater knowing of what loving is, what God is, and who we are. That's when we start walking in the footsteps of the spiritual master. We start finding ourselves tracking where the master is going and looking for those signs that reveal the master's presence.

Kindness, then, is compassion put into action. Kindness is helping someone up when they have fallen. Kindness is encouraging someone who is having a hard time. Kindness sometimes can be just smiling at someone as you walk by, holding the door for someone even if you have to wait a few seconds, picking up what someone drops, rubbing someone's shoulders, or returning a phone call from someone who loves you.

John-Roger, DSS
As long as you keep your consciousness centered, as long as you keep yourself free of expectations, of opinions of what should or should not be taking place, and as long as you let your experiences flow into you, you are lifting. At that point, no matter who you are with, or where you are, you will be moving forward on your path.

John-Roger, DSS
Find the center within and let your wisdom come forward from that point.

You think you've got to go someplace. But there is no place to go, and there is nothing when you get there. Nothing that you did in the last thirty seconds or before has any control over you at all, and none of it matters. There are a lot of people around you who are going to try to run the past on you because they run it on themselves. And you can just say, "That's past!" Right now is the time to partake of everything. Right now is when the consciousness of reality is present. There is no time when it will be present other than right now. Therefore, you don't have to go anyplace.

As we encounter what life is, we encounter loving. And as we encounter what God is, we encounter loving. That process is something that starts transcending where we find ourselves. It starts transcending what meets us, in terms of the physicality of this world, and starts allowing us to transcend into the other worlds. The loving starts becoming something that is all-encompassing, and we realize that we are loving.

John Morton, DSS
If you have a vision, a dream, a yearning for something that is worthy of you, then it is also worthy of your devotion. What is worthy of you? That which uplifts you, supports you positively, and contributes to your joy and abundance. When you connect and commit to that, you can devote your life to it. And it's less a matter of your saying, "I'm ready to die for it," than your knowing, "I'm ready to live for it." I mean really live by experiencing the zest, the enthusiasm, the happiness of living in gratitude and fun. Devotion is an energy that prepares the way in a manner that is often unseen yet often results in incredible opportunities. Devotion is an energy that says, "Regardless of considerations, I will move on it, with it, under it, around it. No matter what, I will go for it."

John-Roger, DSS
Love is difficult to define. We might say that love is the essence that brings forces together and holds them in a "position" relative to one another. When we look at things simply, we can say that our cells are "in love" with one another, because they stand together. If they weren't, they would separate from one another.

John-Roger, DSS
When we surrender our petty control patterns to our Soul - which is on a higher and more refined level than our minds, emotions, and bodies - we transfer our consciousness to what is really running things. We then don't have to make things happen in our lives. They simply happen, and our task is to cooperate with the natural movement inherent in all things.

John-Roger, DSS
The results of doing spiritual exercises often take place weeks later.
