A way to move from expressions of the law to an expression of grace is to throw away your swords of righteousness. That means throwing away your judgments and your sense that you know what is best for other people. It means allowing others (and yourself) to make mistakes in this world and loving them, (and yourself) anyway.

John-Roger, DSS
Keep your own house in order, taking care of things immediately as they appear on the scene. When something happens that really disturbs you, get up instantly and release it. If it is with another person, go to that other person and clear it. If it is something within you, go to work with yourself to change it and bring it into balance so that you are happy and comfortable with yourself. If it is on the job, talk to your boss and get it cleared or look for another job. If you learn from the disturbance, you will be free from it. If you do not learn, the experience will come around again and again, to give you another chance.

One thing that is taught in MSIA, along with the spiritual exercises, is a process of objectivity. You're not just mindlessly chanting some tone all day long. You're taught to chant as a method of focusing. You are also taught to listen. And you are taught to watch and be aware.

You might say, "I have a feeling this information wasn't meant for me because it doesn't apply to any of my situations." That may be a valid point of view for now. In a week, however, someone may come to you and say, "I have this problem and don't know how to handle it." You'll remember the information that "wasn't for you," and share it with them. The other person may thank you and tell you that's exactly what they needed to hear. We call these experiences the "miracles" of working with the Light. You allow the Light to flow through you to others. Information that might not do anything for you in a given moment may be appropriate for someone else in the future, allowing you to be of service and assistance. The Baraka, the Light, the Spirit, the love of the Soul that you receive is then extended out to someone else, and the flow is continued.

If you're not having success, think of something that you really love, like your spouse, your child, your life, your God. Take that feeling and make it come awake in your heart because it is your divinity. It is yours. When that hits, flood your body with it, and feel yourself becoming a commutator of divine energy. As it floods down all around you, love is the healer, joy is the expression.

John Morton, DSS
People often say that love will cure the world. But this is not exactly true. It is loving that cures the world. Loving is action. Loving is manifestation. Loving is movement. Loving is the consciousness of giving.

John-Roger, DSS
The mind has been placed within the body to help the Soul discern what is going on in the physical realm. The mind has to be a master dynamo to fulfill that function - and it is. As a creator, you have a challenge: to create responsibly. A wise man once said that you are what you think. He didn't come right out and say, "You draw energy fields to yourself and charge them with negativity or positivity." He used the words that were applicable in the time and place in which he lived.

I've found, in my experience, that God is everything. He's your birth, He's your life, He's your suffering, He's your joy, He's your death, and He's your eternal life. So to God goes all the glory. It's nice to know that God is in everything.

John-Roger, DSS
It takes great courage to see the face of God because you have to stop wanting, you have to let go of all desire patterns, and accept what is.

John-Roger, DSS
Sometimes, when we have a lot, we begin to think it is our due, that we are owed a certain level of comfort and convenience. Nothing, however, could be further from the truth. Of course, this doesn't stop us from projecting our own ego point of view out to the universe and God and demanding to be provided with goods and services to our heart's content. One need I had was for a change of attitude and more gratitude for what I did have. In time, I experienced that moving toward greater gratitude moved me closer to my spiritual home. It was part of my journey and of my Soul's awakening.
