Spiritual progression is a continual process of leaving behind the old, familiar patterns and venturing into the new.

John-Roger, DSS
Sit quietly and let your body relax. Make it a point to let nothing that happens in the physical environment disturb you. You can do this by simply telling yourself that any noise you hear will help you to relax more deeply and lift higher in your consciousness. If somebody honks their car horn, be aware that it happened, but not disturbed by it. If the phone rings in the apartment next door, identify it as their phone and know that there is nothing you have to do about it. Use these things to lift you higher into your spiritual exercises.

Awakening to your inner awareness is a great challenge. To awaken, keep going back inside of you. The greatest challenge is not outer space; it's inner space.

When you have your best intentions to go to God, you can sometimes be hung up on some silly thing that you ignored. You'll be wondering, "Why don't I have these beautiful inner experiences that I've had before?" You have levels of responsibility to take care of, and as you fulfill them, you go free. If you'll take care of your 10 percent, your physical level responsibilities, there's an opportunity for grace, which will allow things to be done for you spiritually even though you may not know it.

John Morton, DSS
Love your children equally when they are good and when they are bad - so that they know the love is always there.

John-Roger, DSS
Ultimately, seeking after beauty, knowledge, and awareness finds you back in God's graces. You cannot help but make it.

John-Roger, DSS
Out of God come all things Get this intention: Out of God come all things.

John-Roger, DSS
All that Spirit asks is that you unfold into greater spiritual consciousness and share your awakening with other people. And Spirit will do whatever can be done to assist you in that process of transcendence. That does not necessarily mean that difficult things will be taken from you; it may mean that you are given all the love and support you need to handle your challenges. That help may come to you through others as the divine essence flows through them to you.

If you look at who you are beyond all the things that you've done and created, you are the one who goes free. You're the one who walks away - if you'll let it go. Do it daily, so that in this day, you give it up, you let it go, you cast your burdens on the One who can take them. That's a spiritual consciousness, the consciousness of the Beloved that you also claim. You're claiming the overcoming so you can go free.

John Morton, DSS
When you can release the concept of "I'm here and they're there," one day you will find that you are in everybody's heart. You won't perceive others as being less or more than you are. You will know their heartaches and their joys because they are, in essence, the same as yours. Then you'll be so involved in finding "you" in everybody around you that there just won't be any room for boredom, anxiety, or depression. You'll find the spiritual form that is "you" in everything and everybody. You'll find incredible beauty in everything.
