Freedom is an earthly, physical level consciousness. Liberty or liberation spiritually means to be off of the planet and not have to come back again - that you get to stay in the spiritual worlds (which by the way are very nice). Freedom here has three actions to it: Freedom to do something, which is nice. Freedom from something, which is nice. But the third one is the greatest: to have freedom while you're doing it - neither towards it or from it, but freedom in it. When you have freedom in something it feels like liberty.

Depending upon how you direct your consciousness, you can use anything that comes to you as a stumbling block or as a stepping-stone. You can use everything to your advancement when you see it with a positive consciousness.

John-Roger, DSS
Don't romanticize the Soul essence. Wiping a child's nose can be a Soul-source action. Avoiding expressions that might hurt someone might be an empathic action, and saying "no" may sometimes be a loving expression. When you are involved in an unconditional loving action, you are involved in Soul.

John-Roger, DSS
Your doubt can become a tool for inquiry and your inquiry needs to be critical. Not negative, critical. That means looking very closely and precisely at something instead of just running your doubt as information or evidence. Doubt has no information or evidence in it. It has a feeling that things don't fit. You then use your intelligence to go in and see how they fit, or see what doesn't fit. When you are done, you will have proven something for yourself which no one can take from you, and that is very valuable.

As we bring ourselves into spiritual exercise, there is a sacred openness. We bring what is in us as an offering to God. What do we have to offer God that God does not already have? Our choosing to attend to God.

John Morton, DSS
When you are peaceful, you can still make personal progress. You may think that making personal progress means you've got to be scheming, conniving, backbiting, undermining, hurting someone, or setting something up to embarrass another person or to make them look bad. You don't have to do any of that. To grow personally in a peaceful way, you act in harmony with your personal integrity, morals and ethics.

The spiritual person is not necessarily free from the physical laws of the planet. The spiritual person does not disrupt spiritual laws that are being reflected through the physical laws of the planet. It's true that were you given the ability through God, you could create a universe. That power is there for you. But where would you put a universe? It's true that you could create all sorts of things in this physical world, but what would you do with them? Do you want to upset the plan that was instituted at the beginning of time? Not if you are expressing a spiritual consciousness. Rather, you come in line with what's going on and learn to use it to its highest potential.

John-Roger, DSS
When you hide something, you are not being honest, and you will not have love. When you are open, saying, "You can see everything that is going on" then there is nothing hidden. All is present. That is very easy to live and to teach your children to live.

John-Roger, DSS
Whatever has happened in the past, with whomever, over whatever, is past. It is as simple as that because it's past. And whether they were right or they were wrong, whether you did it or you didn't do it, whether they did or they didn't - this is absolutely immaterial. I wouldn't even discuss it with you; I wouldn't waste my time to dignify garbage. And I suggest that you don't, either.

Being a joyful giver is a great part of loving the Lord with your body, mind, and Soul.
