There is a higher standard of living available to us, which we can attain, that I call practical spirituality. Practical spirituality takes place each time we choose the loving response when other lesser or negative choices appear.

John Morton, DSS
By your attitude and actions, you can support others in being the best they can be, and part of that action is sharing your consciousness of prosperity. The more energy you put into being aware that prosperity is yours to enjoy, the more likely you are to manifest prosperity on the levels you want. But this is not just a matter of words; it is a matter of sharing with consideration and cooperation. Once that Light in you is accessed and the Light in others is available, the formula for success includes showing it, using it, and sharing it.

If the love you express is not the love of spiritual unfoldment, you find yourself caught in areas of lack and emotional pain. If you are going into a relationship with someone, let him or her know how far you can go at the moment, and if you don't know, just say, "I don't know." There is great security in that statement because the honesty is evident. Maybe you don't know because of the way your partner asked, or maybe there are other reasons. But there is a security in knowing you are not going to give dishonest information and let your loved one flounder in confusion. There is nothing wrong with just saying, "I don't know."

As we bring ourselves into spiritual exercise, there is a sacred openness. We bring what is in us as an offering to God. What do we have to offer God that God does not already have? Our choosing to attend to God.

John Morton, DSS
Passaging into the upper realms of Spirit takes Light and lightness.

John-Roger, DSS
The only reason to do spiritual exercises is so that you don't get ripped off by me or somebody else; you do them so you can find out for yourself what it is we're talking about. If I tell you about something that goes on in the inner worlds and you're not doing your spiritual exercises - you're not going in there to find out if it's so - then you're just acting dumb or stupid, and I probably wouldn't be comfortable with you around. I'd probably say, "Go someplace else," because you're going to plague me with all the questions that you could answer for yourself if you just went inside and looked. So spiritual exercises is a method for you to find out for yourself the truth of anything that we tell you.

John-Roger, DSS
If spirituality has no real application, then it tends to be simply a nice idea or a romantic fantasy.

John Morton, DSS
Take advantage of times when things are good to build up the unconditioned state inside yourself. Then, when the challenging conditions are flooding or seeming to overwhelm you, there will be a reservoir of loving strength you have built to withstand any outside conditions.

John Morton, DSS
Question: I like to feel that I am unique, even in God's eyes. Is my Soul unique? Answer: The unique statement is that we are what we are right now because everything we've done prior to this moment equals "right now." There is a uniqueness about the Soul; everyone has one and everyone is part of that energy. There is, however, something "more unique" about the Spirit that fills the Soul. That Spirit brings unique aliveness to each individual Soul. Everyone is a unique and special person in the Spirit that created us all.

John-Roger, DSS
We let our Light shine before all the world. We can walk down the street blessing everyone who comes our way. We can send the Light to everyone. We see somebody and say, "God bless you with Light and Love." If we know they are Buddhists, we don't add, "and may the Christ convert you to Christianity." We say, "Go ahead and be a good Buddhist."
