You are the one in charge and responsible for your life, and even if you've empowered something or someone else through blame or playing the victim, you are still in charge and responsible for your life. You can't get away from it.

The best thing you can do to enhance your self-trust is to develop the habit of taking responsibility for all your creations (which is everything in your life) and completing what you start.

Many of us have had just about too much separation and hurt, so we're moving into the ultimate level of conscious spiritual awareness. We don't lock ourselves away from the rest of the world, but flow toward those people seeking the same things we are. As we increase our self-awareness, we can help one another move through hurt and despair into the joy of accomplishing. We start having the courage and the ability to speak up carefully and tell other people what our responsibilities are and are not.

It is when you rely on someone else to make you happy and to bring you fulfillment that you fall flat on your face. That is when you have given up your responsibility to yourself.

Part of loving is to create an atmosphere of freedom and to teach the child that with freedom comes responsibility. Part of loving is also to provide the child with what is needed to develop his or her own loving heart. Sometimes that is called discipline, which may produce the freedom to be more loving in a happy household. Good habits can be taught, and loving choices can be encouraged.

Remember that you are a creator and that which you create you must fulfill.

There is nothing you have done that you cannot transcend because you are greater than any of your actions. So whatever has happened in the past, with whomever, over whatever, is past. It is as simple as that because it's past. And whether they were right or wrong, whether you did or you didn't do it, whether they did or they didn't -- all that is immaterial. Don't waste your time on it. And if you had a difficult childhood and your parents did some things that weren't the best, you can let that go, take responsibility for where you are right now in your life, and change anything that you are still holding on to from childhood.

The concept of charity does not conflict with your responsibility to take care of yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, you soon do not have any reserves from which to give.

There are many "voices" that speak to us. When you listen to your own inner voice, most of the time you are listening to your mind, and the mind is taking its information out of the ego. The ego is a product of the mind and the emotions, a composite of all your experiences thrown together, stirred around, and then recycled through your consciousness in forms you may not readily identify. For example, if there was a time long ago when you felt hurt and upset and then a friend took you out for an ice cream sundae and you felt better, you may have linked those two experiences together in your consciousness. At another time when you are feeling similar emotions, the "inner voice" may say, "Take care of yourself." So you go to the ice cream store and have a sundae, and then you have another. You do not feel better, and when you get sick, you might say, "But my inner voice told me to have a sundae." It probably did not say, "Pig out!" That is something you added on to the inner message, which was, "Take care of yourself, feel better."

If your life is not going the way you want it to go, if you are not right now living a life of health, wealth, and abundance, then stop, look, and listen. Stop and take a look at the things you are doing and the things you are not doing. Then go inside and listen to your inner awareness. If you do listen, you just might hear what you can do to remove blocks and let your success flow.
