We get our prejudices through our eyes. But when we truly observe the world around us, we find ourselves with fresh eyes: We are no longer encumbered with prejudice against the world. Often we say, "I like that one and I don't like that one." How do you know? "I looked at it." But did you observe it? "No, but I know what I like, don't I? Why should I observe?" Take another look. Because you wonder why you do not get what you want. The things you do not want are what you attract when you focus on your judgments, resentments, and guilts.

How can we observe God when we are observing resentment or worry? Where is God? God is in goodness. If you want to find God, don't waste your time with what is bad; spend your time in goodness.

You can only be upset and hurt when you're carrying upset and hurt.

It's understanding that lifts the consciousness. It's not saying "understanding"; it is living understanding, it is doing understanding, it is where, in the midst of misery, you still have understanding.

Secret is about sacred. It's not about what's hidden. What is hidden must be revealed. But it's revealed according to God's terms, when we can handle them. And we're not given those terms until we really can handle them.

How can something negative push you back in line? Let's say you are doing important work and the phone rings. You forgot to turn on the answering machine and the person calling knows you are there. You can either get frustrated and irritated and answer in a huff, or you can use the phone ringing to remind you to take a breath, to stretch, to say a quick prayer for your children.

Ignorance is a sin -- the only sin. When you come into understanding, ignorance drops away and you change automatically.

The Bible says that Jesus said, "When two or more are gathered in my name, there I am, also," and "What you agree upon, the Father will give you, if you ask in my name." But he actually didn't say it quite like that. He said, "Where two or more of you are gathered in God's will and you ask of the Father in my name, keeping God's will present, I will give it to you."

Pickpockets find pockets, and those who feel picked upon find things to pick on and not do.

Even though the things we do in this physical world may continually misrepresent who we are, let's never forget for even one second that the divine spark that is God resides within each one of us.
