Watch carefully that your mind and emotions don't pull you back into the past or project concerns out into the future. That's where direction comes in. You direct your consciousness. You direct your mind. You direct your emotions. You can't stop them; you can't turn them off, so you learn to direct them.

The more that you can enter into that process of living in the moment, the more you can enter into the Spirit, the divineness of the moment. And you'll find that your energy automatically starts lifting; there isn't anything you have to do to accomplish that. It happens automatically. When you start to experience that lifting, you find that you can apply that in a lot of areas in your life.

If you stay present in your life, moment to moment, joy will start to appear inside of you, as you.

Nothing you did from 30 seconds ago backward has any control over you at all; and none of it matters. There are a lot of people who will try to run your past on you because they run their past on themselves. You can just let them know, "That's past."

When you feel another quake, there's no need for you to panic. Immediately just focus the Light in your area. Become a channel radiating Light, and this means you must become stable so that when people are running around saying, "The sky is falling in!" you'll be able to focus their attention on the facts of what is really taking place. This calms people.

Being in the moment is what opens you to the revelations of your own self.

When you're living in the now, you can accomplish much more than when you try to live in the past or the future. By accomplishing more, you can live through a wider space of time, and things that once seemed formidable to you, now come within your field of accomplishment. You just do what needs to be done. That's living eternity in this moment. And nothing is quite so beautiful.

When you do not maintain your awareness of and your responsibility to the now, the present moment, you separate yourself from your reality. And in that separation, you can create your own hell. Then you know your Soul only by the reflection of those who know the Soul, rather than through your own direct experience of the Soul.

No matter what has happened in your life, you don't have to carry that experience around with you. It's important for your health and well-being to release the past, move into the present, and make this moment work for you.

The choices present themselves to you, and often you enter into confusion and doubt and bewilderment. Then "tomorrow" becomes fraught with fear because you can't predict what's going to happen. And that becomes a form of suffering. Again, you must bring yourself present in the "NOW" and live in that moment.
