Be careful not to inflict what you identify as your spirituality on other people. Live in simplicity. Live in the truth of your own beingness, and let your actions speak for you.

The spiritual life is compatible with modern society. To realize the truth of that statement, just adjust your point of view to accommodate the realization that Spirit manifests in many, many ways. You'll find yourself in pretty good territory.

When we come out of a dark room into a bright sunshiny day, we have to shield our eyes until they adjust to the light. Spirit is like that light. You move toward Spirit, but you can only go as far as you can endure its brightness and fill yourself with that brightness so you can then move on to the next level of brightness.

Sometimes you forget to declare things done, so there are little incomplete energies that just keep floating around and draining off a little energy every time they come up. You may be going down the road, doing fine, feeling good, and all of a sudden some incident from the past comes up and grabs your attention. You say, "Wow! Where did that come from? I haven't thought of that in years. How did that get in there?" Your inner beingness brings these up for you to deal with and clear.

If we are to experience the greater oneness with the Spirit inwardly, then we must remain open to support our connection outwardly as well. We must be willing to do unto others what God, through the Spirit, would do through us as the expression.

And so all we really can do is breathe in and breathe out and let the Divine essence move forward to us. It's called grace. Listen long enough for this breath of Divine guidance to breathe through you.

Right now is when the consciousness of reality is present. There is no time when it will be present other than right now. Therefore, you don't have to go anyplace.

Think of bliss this way. You are on your way to visit your lover and there's a rock in your shoe. You know it's there, but that rock does not bother you because you are focused on getting to the one you love. You completely transcend the pain. That night when you get back home and you take the shoe off, there is the bruise on your foot. You say, "I wonder how I got that." But then you start dreaming about your lover, you forget about the pain again and you fall back into the bliss of your beingness.

Observation and letting go will ultimately lead you to a greater awareness of the reality of death, and a process of "letting God." And that is awareness of the joy that we are, the bliss that is present.

Spirit keeps its promise to us for life; all we are doing is choosing back.
