If you don't like someone, that's okay. Be honest. You don't have to like everyone. There are many layers of personality that surround and veil the Soul. In Soul, we are all one. In Soul, there is only Light and love. But personalities differ tremendously. When you dislike someone, recognize that it is probably the personality you dislike, not the spiritual beingness.

When you share with a person in loving honesty, you do not hurt or push away the person. You assist the person to a new level inside himself or herself. Remember that "being honest" is not license to jam your opinion at someone or to hurt them in the name of "truth."

Good relationship is called good communication, and the three C's of effective communication are that it is clear, clean, and concise.

You'll be further ahead not to look for perfection in marriage. Marriage is not perfect, although it may be moving that way. In the meantime, it's sandpapering. It's getting the diamond out of the rough, polishing it, and putting it in a beautiful setting.

All relationships are within you. It may look as if a relationship is you with another person or with other people, but it is always you within you, and relationships are one of the greatest mirrors you can have for yourself - your patterns, your beliefs, your conditioned responses.

Can we forgive the deceits of one heart to another? When you have committed the totality of your beingness to another person, can you draw back? It really must be "full steam ahead," because many of the things you're working through now that appear to be turmoil and desperation and heartache, may be your joy and happiness tomorrow.

Ultimately, each relationship you have with another person reflects your relationship with yourself. So check out your motivations. Why are you doing what you are doing? Are there any underlying reasons for your actions, thoughts, and feelings? This kind of self-examination can reveal much to you about yourself, especially if you see every relationship as telling you how you are with yourself.

We are all one. When you cannot accept and love one person, you create separation towards everyone. You create a separation between you and your God, between you and the God in everyone.

What I must do inside myself is make sure that my relationship with you is up to date, present, and not based upon something that was happening last week or last month or last night or this morning, but is that which is present right now, here in my heart with you, so that I am here with you now.

It is not relationships that cause trouble; it's avoiding the relationship that causes the trouble.
