Loving Each Day

With life moving so quickly these days, it's nice to have a touch point to bring us back to our spiritual center. Loving Each Day is a free, daily email designed to uplift, inspire, and remind you of your divinity and true nature.

There is a weakness that I call the "tyranny of weakness." This is where someone plays that they are so very weak in order to have everybody running around doing things for them. These types of people are also very unhappy, because they never can rely upon themselves when troubles appear. The tyranny of weakness is the power not to perform. It masquerades as "I'm not strong enough; it's too heavy for me to lift; I'll have to stay too long on my feet," and all sorts of other excuses. For example: "I can't go. I have a headache." Get up and go. "I can't water-ski. I don't know how." You won't learn sitting down. Get up on the skis. "I'll fall." Yes. "I can't swim." Put on a vest. Take a deep breath through it all. "I can't sing." Practice. "Oh, no. No!" Why not? "Because I can't sing." I know, practice. Take lessons and get going. "No. I'm protecting my weakness." And that weakness will be where your illness comes in and your disease lives.
