Traveler John Morton takes sharing at an MSIA event in Boulder, CO, May 2026

Let Go and Let Love

“If you are around people that beautifully show you how to love yourself, that’s smart.  Maybe it’s chanting your tone.  It’s calling in the Light.  Sometimes it’s called Satsang.  It’s fellowship, brotherhood and sisterhood.” – John Morton

This month’s article is taken from a sharing session John had online with participants in a “Choosing into the Divine Presence” workshop held in Sydney, Australia in March 2026.

In terms of the love of the self that has the primary authority, loving is going to prevail.  The loving of who you are is going to prevail and it’s already prevailing.  When we understand that, we would go toward it.  We would ask for it.

If you are doing your best as you know in the loving of you, there may still be a feeling like, “I don’t like myself.”  That can get more extreme so some might even call that, “I hate myself.”

One of the practical things we can do is relax.  Do you know how to relax?  That is important and it’s in the teachings.  One of the more powerful teachings is something John-Roger, amidst many, has said. Let go and let God.

What does that really mean?  We could possibly not really understand or have much awareness of what that means.  But it’s there, and John-Roger gave it direction.

The first part, “Let go”, is relax.  Relax the mind.  One key that John-Roger called out: “Observation is the key to letting go.”  Observation is beyond the mind, but the mind can participate in observation.  If you allow the mind into observation, it could do what a mind can do in observation.

In observation, the mind gets altitude.  It gets perspective that is higher.  With more altitude, we see more.  We have a brilliant consciousness in the mind that can observe with clarity, completeness and knowing.

Observation wouldn’t be afraid of altitude or heights.  Someone saying, “I’m scared of heights,” might think, “I don’t know if I want to go into higher consciousness because I might get scared.”

Who you truly are is not afraid of altitude.  That would be a hint.  Allow yourself to get into altitude and observation.  Are there some practical keys?  What are you observing?  You could write it down.  You don’t have to be in endless specificity, which tends to be mental.

If we put God in the details, it would have one detail… love.

“That’s it?”

Yes, love is pretty much the only detail we need to know.  All the rest is more detail in the love.  If we really understand what we are looking at in altitude, we are looking at love.

Also in the relaxation, is a releasing of what negativity does.  When negativity does something like stress or tension – physically, emotionally or mentally – it puts what I call static in the channel or the environment. There is energy that bothers us, making things less clear.  If we can relax, we can clarify.

Remember, you are loved.  You are loved as you are.  That love is present, ongoing and eternal.  You are always loved as you are.  You may say, “That’s what I’m missing!  I’m missing loving myself as I am.”

If we judge, criticize or find fault, we can let go of the point of view that it should be different.  We could be aware of it.  When I’m in the point of view that it should be different, I experience tension, irritation and disappointment.  You may not like yourself.  Let go of thinking it should be different.

Relaxing is letting go.  When we relax, something happens where we don’t have to understand.  It’s relaxation and it is a beautiful experience.

If you are having disappointment or frustration, thinking, “I don’t like myself and I’m having difficulty loving myself,” you can ask the Traveler to help.  It may take some sharing where you allow me to share with you.  You could do that with others.  I recommend others who are already demonstrating loving, caring and sharing.  The more the better.

If you are around people that beautifully show you how to love yourself, that’s smart.  Maybe it’s chanting your tone.  It’s calling in the Light.  Sometimes it’s called Satsang.  It’s fellowship, brotherhood and sisterhood.  We love one another.

God bless you.

Blessing of Letting Go

Lord God, we give thanks for bringing our attention
to all our requests to manifest,
for us to be aware and open.
We let go of our inhibitions,
our judgements that we are in lack,
unable or in any way unavailable to these blessings.

We give thanks to all the healing, balancing, clearing,
and purification that is taking place here.

We ask that it be extended as grace allows
for all who are related in any way
and that is one for the highest good of all concerned.
The rest we give up to You.
And so it is.
