The Lord and I Are One

“I am with you.”  That is the Lord.  If you really think about it, that consciousness could absolutely and eternally tell the truth by saying, “I am always with you.” – John Morton

This article comes from a sharing session John had in May 2026 with undergraduate students at Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy.

The Lord would do your life completely as you.  John-Roger taught us, “The Lord and I are one.”  I took that to heart.  I claimed that.

We have a power in us that works at the heart level.  When I say the heart level, I’m talking about the soul level.  And when I say the soul level, I’m talking about the God level.  All at once.

It’s not like, “I’m in a phase of the Lord, and I can’t quite get to the soul consciousness because the Lord has got me doing karmic things in the etheric level.  I forgot about it and didn’t know I had all this karma on the etheric level.”

The Lord is doing it with you.  “I am with you.”  That is the Lord.  If you really think about it, that consciousness could absolutely and eternally tell the truth by saying, “I am always with you.”

If the Lord is always with us, how does that work?  Is it, “Hey Lord, I’m busy here.  Don’t interfere and mess up with what I’m doing.  Sit down and mind your own business.”

I often consider the Lord has the power to go invisible on us.  If we do what we call invisible and silent, that is the Lord’s presence.  How or why does the Lord do that?  So that you can learn how to do what is yours.  “I’m so subtle you do not consciously know I’m even here.  But I’m completely with you.  That is who I am.  I don’t go away.  I don’t turn away.  I don’t abandon you.  I don’t forsake you.  I don’t judge you.”

You may say, “That’s a lot of don’ts.  What do you do, Lord?”  The Lord says, “I love you.  I love you as you are.  Always and all ways.”

You are not your actions. You’re not what you do.  Isn’t that amazing!  You are in it, but you’re not of it.  You are completely out of it.  That’s good!  You can get free of what you did, but you have a responsibility because you are a co-creator on every level.  So, we then would have an intention to come clear with what we have created.  We have responsibility for what we have done as actions.

There is a quick way to do that, called the Christ action, blessed in the way that Christ blesses it.  The quick way is, “I forgive myself.”  When we get out of the action, forgiving ourselves, it’s for judging what we did or did not do.  There is often a lot there.  You had the opportunity to do what was true in your heart, but you pulled back, wouldn’t allow it or pretended you couldn’t.

It is also a pretending not to know who you are.  That can be a weird, strange thing.  You may feel you are leading a false kind of life.  Not bad, but sort of going through the motions.  But you do get some responsibility because there is a level of what you do that has the law in it.  If you do something, whatever that creates, it comes back.

One of the things we are doing at the level of the Traveler consciousness, which is also the Christ Consciousness, is we bless it.  It releases in the karmic way.  Then in grace, it is blessed.  It is no more.  It’s over.  You’re not in that.  You are here.  It’s blessed by, “I forgive myself for the judgment that I withhold myself, that I’m bad or wrong, evil, no good, unworthy or can’t do it.”

Even that level has some law of reversibility in it with what we think and keep holding.  It doesn’t get in the heart.  It can’t be in the heart because it is not loving.  It’s not forgiving.  It’s not blessed.  Then what is it?  It’s strange.  A sign that we are off.  Like, “I feel confused, weird, ashamed.  I feel like, what the hell?  It doesn’t matter anymore. I’m going to give up, pull the pin and end this life.”

Life has an ending.  But you are going to pick it up now, where you are in your learning and growing.  That’s where we are.  We are in the learning.  We came here to learn.

In the mastership level, the Inner Master in that presence that is God, it comes in as a companion.  It can appear as a friend.  But sometimes our aggressions, our “anti-this” or “anti-that” will be directed at the Inner Master.  Good luck!  It doesn’t work.  There is a protection.

In the law of reversibility, what you are putting out as bullets comes back to you.  You are really shooting yourself.  If you crucify the Lord, you crucify yourself.  At the ego level, you can say, “I can use that, ending the kind of thinking that separates me, that brings me into an anti-love, againstness or hatred.  It can’t endure.  It must come to an end.”  We can bring it to an end now with, “I forgive myself.”  Then the Lord is speaking in that through you, as you.

“The Lord and I are one.” When you have done it unto the least part of who you are – your forgetful, separated false self – you do it to the Lord.  But the Lord doesn’t judge or cause it to come back.

Perhaps you need to have an experience come back to you, so you realize what you are doing to yourself and your God nature.  It doesn’t reach your God nature, which is good. This is, “Thank God. Praise the Lord.  I can’t harm my true self.”  Nobody can harm their true self.  That’s just the way it is.

We may have habitually adopted this false self.  That is where the clearing is.  We clear the false self and come into the willingness to behold who we are as a divine being.   Then we start practicing and seeing it in everyone and everything.

John-Roger taught us, “Look for the good and the divine in people and things.”  All of them. He said, “Out of God comes all things.  God loves all of his creation.”

God’s love has been here all along.  We didn’t realize it or we forgot.  Remember to say, “I forgive myself for forgetting that I am divine.”  It starts right here, right now.  “I am loving myself and I’m letting go of anything less than loving.  I give it into the light.”  It takes it to the Christ to bring it here, so you go free.

Prayer for Truth

Lord God, once again we give thanks
for the opportunity to be with You.
We ask that You bring us forward from whatever we have chosen
that would keep us lagging or restricted from knowing You.
Lift us from our pretenses and falsehoods
That we have placed before ourselves as judgments and false knowledge.
We ask that You take away the illusion
and that You may assist us, regardless of what we have done.
We come to You in grace, to the door of forgiveness.
Restore our joy and courage, that we can go through each day
and whatever meets us, knowing the blessings of each moment
and being glad in what we behold as eternal truth.
We bring our enthusiasm to do the best we can.
We trust that You are always with us and
that You have prepared the way.
There is nothing against us that will ever last.
Whatever negativity we find shall not prevail.
We are resurrected in the Christ.
The Holy Spirit is our companion.
You bring the Lord’s hand to touch us,
Strength to lift us, vision to look upon Your face,
Light to let us see the truth, and wisdom to know
that Your will is done.
And we find everlasting peace in Your loving embrace.
