“We’ve seen this, haven’t we?” John-Roger asks in this seminar. “You join a group, there’s a leader and you think, ‘Why is that person up there?’ And often the answer is, ‘because nobody else’ll go up there,’ so that person becomes a leader by default. Here’s my caution. If you want to get lied to, go out there and give your power, strength, and leadership over to somebody else. You’ll wind up saying, ‘Isn’t there anybody I can trust?’ ”

J-R makes clear what he’s addressing. “There are two types of primary power in the world,” he says. “One is a power of position, like the president of a country, or a corporation, or the police officer on the corner. Those positions have power in them, and some people seem to occupy their position of power without demonstrating any personal power.”

And the second type of primary power? J-R goes on, “The other one is having the power of you as a person so that no matter what position you’re in, you fill yourself with the power of beingness. Now I’m not talking about an orneriness, or an anger or hostility. I’m talking about you as the spiritual being.

J-R continues, “I would just like you to think about this. Who are you surrendering your leadership to?” And there’s yet one more kind of surrender of power that J-R speaks about. It’s one that will serve you well as you step through life’s puzzles.

God Bless You!
