Here is another in the especially chosen SAT series in which John-Roger, in his loving, careful way, uses stories from his own experience to enrich the spiritual teachings.
“It’s typical that you look away from temptations: your hurt, your confusion, your animosity..you think you’re looking away physically,” he says. And he points out that the paradox is that at that moment of
looking away, you really have your eye on that which is tempting you. You can try to ignore it but it will be back in your awareness — tomorrow, or five months from now, maybe — but it will be back.
J-R observes, “The mind cannot hold. The emotions betray. The imagination runs wild and the physical body is caught up in sensation. But the Soul is just sitting there saying, ‘I don’t care, I’m just here to get experience.’ ”
And there it is. The Soul gets the experience of all levels. And we do too, except we don’t have the experience of the Soul…yet. “The guns are loaded against us,” J-R warns, “so be careful where you point yourself. You might go off accidentaly and you wouldn’t want to hurt someone.” So maybe we need to focus on getting the experience of Soul, wouldn’t you say? The how-to is contained in this seminar.
God Bless You!
