The MSIA Presidency and Presidency Succession crew of PK, Sherie, Vincent, David, Jeffrey and Mark, just completed our third annual “All Prez” retreat at Lake Arrowhead. We spent three full days in the mountains where we could focus on everything on our minds related to MSIA, PTS, Heartfelt, NOW Productions, Prana, and IIWP/Windermere. Being together in a relaxing, peaceful environment with plenty of uninterrupted time allowed us to dive deeply into our agenda which was to improve and expand, and we explored the many relevant areas that emerged spontaneously, with lively, lengthy discussions.
We started by reviewing the projects we set as goals from last year. We had made great headway on some of the initiatives and others were still in progress. One of the good learnings was to not spread ourselves too thin with lots of worthy projects versus us doing a few things well, and thoroughly.
Stimulating strolls in the lush forest atmosphere of Arrowhead helped break up our meetings, and the conversations continued as we walked among the pine trees. We enjoyed preparing meals together – Paul and Jeffrey each made delicious dinners, and Vincent showed us what culinary magic a master of the grill can conjure up. We played card games in the evenings to laugh and unwind.
A big topic of discussion was providing great customer service to MSIA students, as well as improving channels for making the teachings available to those who are looking for them. We looked at the opportunities to use the Prana campus to welcome guests, visitors, and residents to experience the Traveler’s teachings. We gathered together to watch Jeffrey in action on his Saturday morning talk. Jeffrey expressed willingness and enthusiasm to give talks and podcasts to engage new folks, which we all wholeheartedly support.
As always, everything we focused on was consistent with the four major goals of the presidency – preserving and archiving John-Roger’s teachings for future generations, publishing and promoting MSIA teachings, ensuring the future health and viability of MSIA as an organization, and guiding the successful transition of leadership to a new generation.
The result of the retreat was that we found ourselves more energized and more committed than ever to doing the Lord’s work. It was thrilling to be in such harmony and accord.
In other news, you may have noticed some changes with MSIA app. A lot of work has been underway behind the scenes to improve it. As a reminder, the first level of support for the app is the help icon in the upper right corner of many of the app screens, including the SE Timer screen. There is a lot of useful information in the help sections.
Thank you for participating in MSIA, and for all that you give in so many ways. As J-R would constantly remind us, “It is the loving that makes all this work.” We love and appreciate you.
God bless you,
Paul, Vincent, Mark, Sherie, David, and Jeffrey
