MSIA Presidency Update – June 2025

There is a lot of activity going on at Prana to get ready for MSIA 2025 Conference of the Inner Master.  We have finally begun upgrading the public interior after a lot of planning and discussion. The remodeling work started this past week.  It included painting the solarium

and the wall along the spiral staircase off the foyer.

Over the next few weeks, new carpet will be installed in the solarium, on the stairs, the first-floor upper landing, the foyer, and in the large seminar room. We also refinished the communal table in the Prana dining room, which was a major undertaking.

There will be a few more touches added by Conference, with more to come this summer.

The Prana tea house project we wrote about last month has broken ground.   The contractors managed to get a small excavator down onto the garden terrace to do their work!

Some significant updates to the MSIA App have been made to improve loading speed and functionality.  Your patience has been appreciated as we have worked out some glitches along the way.  That Which Is will be next in line for a major facelift, new features, and a more user-friendly web version interface.  It will be especially inviting for people new to MSIA.  We continue to add new content all the time and you can look forward to a special Conference playlist on this year’s theme of The Inner Master.

At the last global MSIA ministers meeting, John Morton presented the MSIA mission statement that John-Roger gave the staff many years ago:

The only business of MSIA is Soul Transcendence: to transcend into the heart of God.

Your work here is to serve and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Your mission is to make the teachings of the Traveler available to those who are looking for them.

– John-Roger

John talked about how all ministers and initiates can share the MSIA teachings.   Explaining MSIA can be challenging sometimes – where do you start?   Debbie Roth and David Whitaker used to facilitate “How to Share about MSIA” webinars.   Here are some key suggestions from one of them on describing the Movement:

  1. MSIA is a check it out organization. We are all checking it out. The invitation to others is for them to check it out for themselves. It’s not your job to convince anyone of anything.
  2. The Spirit does the work. Our job is to be present in that Spirit and to share it with others in the best way that we know how. And have fun!
  3. It’s good to come together. Gather with others who are also on the path of Soul Transcendence. Talk to them, share with them, call in the Light together. Receive the Satsang and joy of connecting with Spirit.
  4. J-R wrote great keys in Fulfilling Your Spiritual Promise! This 3-volume set is an amazing resource on the teachings. In it is a chapter “How o Share MSIA with Others” (pp. 691-695) A few examples:
  • Ask inwardly for the Light and for direction.
  • Be present.
  • If you don’t know the answer, just say so.
  • Most importantly, share from your experience.

We recently did some work at Windermere.  The barn is now insulated in the main activity space.   This will keep it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.   We also built some outdoor showers by the barn for a future camping area, with a nice path to the bathrooms and the showers.

Those of you who remember the fabulous outdoor showers at the Lake Arrowhead property will be delighted to experience the Windermere version.

Thank you to all of you for all that you give in so many ways. As J-R would constantly remind us, “It is the loving that makes all this work.” The times are calling us all to stay in the loving!  We love and appreciate you.

God bless you,
Mark, Paul, Vincent, Sherie, David, and Jeffrey
