“If you are willing to endure, you will come upon the dawning. You will be coming upon the light and how that reveals itself to you, regardless of what you do.” – John Morton
This article is taken from a sharing session John Morton had with a Spiritual Alchemy class in May 2025.
Let’s consider how you experience God’s intention for you. Some of that might appear “at long last,” where it’s “about time,” when we are having a moment with perspective and reflection. We may be soaring, riding the currents that are eternal. Then we have a moment when we turn, or something happens we don’t control. That takes us into a conditionality of how that works in reflection.
If you are willing to endure, you will come upon the dawning. You will be coming upon the light and how that reveals itself to you, regardless of what you do. The reflection would invite us to do, and our awareness would invite us to be who we are. If we do that, we are all being who we are and it’s beautiful, glorious, and awesome. It is new, as in “I am born again!”
The great opportunity with spiritual alchemy is to be in the loving of who we are. That’s how I relate to what it is. It’s also something magnificent in how it is organized. It has the form that relates to the perfection. The form can be an indicator or a sign. We look toward the meaning, the value, and the purpose.
I’m recalling when John-Roger would invite us to read the Bible. In all the testaments, the books, the Torah, what is recorded – we would come into asking, “Why would you read it, study it and contemplate the meaning and look upon it as life’s guidelines for who we are?”
It would come into something very singular and simple, like it has been here all along. Love one another and God. And love what that is, the Creation. There is no other, and yet it is ongoing.
We are in a level that registered as something in form, like a static form. For example, “That’s a triangle. That’s a pyramid. That’s a hyperbole.” What shape is that? It follows the shape of the mind.
All these forms congregate in synchronicity. What is above also is below. We can see what that looks like in the levels and the forms. If we could create it and be in the consciousness that could behold it all at once – see it entirely integrated in all its ways, forms, positions, coordinates, formations – it would come into something it has always been.
What is that encounter with all the forms and levels? Was it really necessary? In that movement, what I see is it’s necessary and releases it. As we come more and more into what is necessary in our life, to be complete, fulfilled, happy and healthy, we are calling forward the next reality. And it would be integrated.
We have had it all along the way, always present and with us in the perfection. Also always with us is the opportunity to reflect, however we encounter the duality of that. It could be up, down, right, left, in, out, black, white. How many dualities are there? That sounds like the mind to me. The mind would keep reverberating.
If you look at a reflection, it’s something like an echo. It hits substance and then there is no more. It is another limitation and then there is no more. There is something like a back and forth that becomes a rhythm, a rate, a shade.
At some point, we might ask, “How far do I need to take this?” When you are willing to let it go, let it go. Then we find to what degree we are willing to let it go. That can simply be all the way. How do we speak about it or to it?
There is so much we do not know in what that is. But we can be in the twilight of what that is. When something goes up, it must come down. What is the point when it’s neither up nor down? Does it ever stop moving?
We call that the turning point. It is turning but it’s a point. How small is a point? The point can keep dissolving to a lower vibration where it is infinite. How many numbers can you go below zero or into the negative power? We all originate in something like zero. What is that? It is a “no number.” It is a presence.
The mind gets all logged and jammed up, full of itself. That is actually a beautiful state. Then, it would have the tendency to just release. As much as I was trying to move forward, now I am moving backwards. It appears like a fall, but it is actually a rising up.
Touché. We are in touch. We are at the point of whatever it is called. It has many names. In our human instruments, we touch. We know we are in contact, and it is real. Then why do we “joust about?” Maybe for fun, to have a good time with each other.
I consider that is a beautiful way to transcendence. Find that laughter in what it is and allow that to take us there. But it is also here.
God bless you.
Prayer: Know God [from You Are the Blessings]
Dear Lord, we give thanks for Your presence with us again.
We take a moment to adjust our inner temple to open wide the gates,
to find the altar, the place of worship,
and to come simply as we are, to present ourselves
openly, without guile.
What we do not know how to cast off, what does not belong,
we bring to You.
We bring it to You, that we may be cleansed,
that You may take from us what we do not know how to let go.
We feel the freshness of this presence.
We breathe in the air that is clean.
And we find Your rest, that You hold the life of each of us
and give it to us freely, and You show us how to live.
We ask Your hand to be placed upon us in a personal way,
that we may feel Your touch, the surge that comes from You to us,
which renews, restores, and regenerates.
We ask that whatever covers our eyes in any form, whatever obscures
or blocks, is removed and that our vision may be true and clear.
We ask that Your touch heal all our senses,
that we may walk from this temple upright, strong, knowing our purpose.
And we ask that You gift us in grace with Your understanding
and ability to withstand what is outrageous and what is disturbing.
Most of all, we ask for Your patience, for we know that in learning to wait
and to hold, we will endure in Your purpose.
And in this is the key to our triumph, to our overcoming whatever
has been placed before us as our challenge.
In our humbleness we willingly allow You to lift us and carry us,
to do what we would not do for ourselves, in Your mercy,
in Your compassion, and in Your adoration.
May we return it to You in full.
Baruch Bashan.

I loved the blessing, it spoke to me in volumes. Thank You, John, our Beloved.
