Going Higher into the High Country

“Let’s go into the high country while we are still in the body. Do Soul travel and have an out-of-the-body experience.” – John Morton

This article comes from a sharing session John had in July 2025 with students in Peace Theological Seminary (PTS) undergraduate and self-paced classes.

This is a gathering into our consciousness of who we are. All of it. Whatever awareness you have and whatever awareness you consider you don’t have. It is what you are conscious of and what you are unconscious of. It is something like “twilight” or semi-consciousness.

There is a lot of dimensionality in who we are. It is important to get on to what is powerful, beautiful, clear, and loving. If I said something like “the worst, most painful and suffering,” do you get the difference? See how easy that is? We get the difference.

Even if it’s not easy to understand, why would there be the worst of it? If we could choose the best of it, is the worst of it even necessary? Consider that ultimately, it is not necessary.

Enter Soul Transcendence. It is a climax. Is it the end? It is the end of what is no longer necessary. So, “I won’t have to have negativity kick me around, disrespect, mislead, betray and torture me?” You better be careful what you are focusing on because it has a magnetic quality to it. It is still unnecessary. Choose not to get involved or focus on that any more than necessary.

Why would it be necessary? For your learning. You may wonder, “I need to learn this?” If you are creating, promoting, or allowing it, you do not need it. You don’t have to do it. If we follow the guidance, we can move further away from what we don’t need because we don’t choose it. We can move so far away we don’t even hear it anymore.

It is an altitude. There are things you hear at an altitude you don’t hear in the valley or the lower level. You can get into a consciousness where the negativity does not exist because you are not processing it. It can go into something John-Roger talked about – a very high consciousness as initiates. It’s called Soul level initiation.

You have established yourself. You are still in a body, but you are a very high-level initiate. All you need to do is finish. Just complete your life. Let your last breath in the world be choosing back into your Soul initiation. That’s it!

However, while you are here, you may choose something like, “I think I’ll come back for that.” It can be that simple. Be careful what you indulge. Be careful what you choose. Be especially careful what you focus upon and then create.

Energy follows thought. It follows your focus. If that sounds like entrapment, it’s not. As you develop your intelligence you just don’t do stupid stuff. You stop doing it. You know better, then you do better. We are in that movement.

You are smart enough to be here, so let’s get on with it. Process whatever level you are on. Let’s go into the high country while we are still in the body. Do Soul travel and have an out-of-the-body experience. We have developed the experience that becomes the consciousness that becomes the awareness of who we are in the Soul while we are still in this world.

Blessing of the Sacred

Now let’s bring our self into a quiet, into this sacred energy,
this sacred presence that’s before us now
so that we can behold Him, behold what it is.
If it does come to us in any form recognizable,
that we do behold Him,
that we do pay homage.
That we would bow at the feet,
not that we are somehow inferior
but that we recognize the sacredness.

We each become a willing servant as a willpower,
an act of will and dedication,
knowing our life is Your life.
There’s a sense of the Divine giving to us so powerfully
that we can’t contain it.
As it rushes in, it rushes out as a giving, as a presenting energy.
That yea, I have been with you.
I am here to be with you ever more.
I am the beloved Traveler.
