The Prana Guest House offers very reasonably priced accommodations right on the grounds of Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens, MSIA’s international headquarters in Los Angeles. Guests stay in the charmingly restored original carriage house on the property, “a spiritual oasis in the heart of the city”. Whether for a personal retreat, to attend a class or workshop, or for a brief overnight stopover in L.A., we invite you to stay in the guest house here at Prana, the “Home of the Traveler”.

Prerequisites: An active subscription to MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses (or SAT Subscription) is required to stay in the Prana Guest House.

Cost: Current cost is $65 a night per person, which includes meals, linens and towels. Contact us for rates for teenagers and children to stay with parents.

Facilities: The Prana Guest House is located upstairs in the original carriage house on the property at 3500 West Adams Boulevard, right on the other side of the labyrinth from the main house. The seven guest rooms located there each have a pair of twin beds, except for one which has a double bed suitable for a couple. Bathrooms are located on the hall, so you may wish to bring a robe or other appropriate attire for going to and from the bathroom. If we are fully occupied we will assign roommates, if less busy you may have a room to yourself. During off-peak periods you may also be able to reserve a guaranteed single room at a higher rate. Please ask for details if interested.

Reservations: In order to make a reservation we will need the following information:
– your intended date of arrival
– intended date of departure
– a credit card number along with expiration date

Confirmation: Email reservation requests with the above information to Kevinm@msia.org or call Kevin McMillan at (323) 737-4055, ext. 1126. We will send you a confirmation once we have received this information. Please do not make plans to stay with us until you have received a confirmation.

Payment Details: The credit card you’ve given to hold your reservation will be charged the week after your stay, or if you prefer to pay cash, the full amount is due upon arrival.

Arrival & Departure: Check-In time on your day of arrival is between 4:00 and 8:00p.m. You’re welcome to arrive anytime after 9:00am the day of your reservation, and make yourself comfortable in the house and gardens until your room is available. On Arrival we will welcome you with a brief orientation and show you to your room. Check-Out time on day of departure is 11:00 a.m.

Being of Service: Guests who stay with us more than two nights are requested to participate in ongoing service while you’re here. We ask that guests volunteer at least a half an hour a day in areas such as the kitchen, PTS, or in the Products Department–all of whom would love to have your participation.

Meals: Three meals a day are included in your guest house stay. A prepared lunch and dinner is provided Monday through Friday. For breakfast and meals on weekends, guests have access to an array of fresh ingredients, as well as a stocked salad bar and leftovers from recent meals, with which to prepare your own meals in the Prana kitchen. Guests receive instruction in use of the kitchen on arrival.

Organic Teas: Prana provides a selection of organic teas, both caffeinated and herbal. If you prefer coffee we ask that you remember to pack some for yourself, as it is not included in the board fee.

Parking & Transportation to Events: Prana is located in an urban neighborhood in Los Angeles, not necessarily close enough to walk to stores. Sometimes you can catch a ride for shopping or to an event with a Prana resident or staff member, but if you know you will need to get around the city regularly you may wish to consider renting a car. Guest parking is provided on the Prana grounds.

Solarium, Labyrinth & Gardens: The amazing features of the property, including a stunning outdoor labyrinth, peaceful and relaxing meditation gardens, and wonderful solarium for Spiritual Exercises, are all available to you at any time during your stay.

Cancellation Policy: We require 24 hours notice of cancellation prior to 4:00pm on your confirmed date of arrival, in order to avoid paying a late cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s stay. During high-demand periods like our yearly conference we require two weeks notice for cancellations. If you make a reservation during those times you’ll be informed of the policy.
