The Best is Yet to Come: New Year’s Resolution Spa Morning with John Morton

For many in MSIA, there is no better place and time to welcome in the New Year than at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens on the first Saturday of January. Last weekend’s annual New Year’s Resolution Spa Morning on January 2 was no exception.

Facilitated by John Morton and emceed by Leigh Taylor-Young Morton, the annual workshop was attended by a full house with many more watching online around the world. After calling in the Light and showing two John-Roger video excerpts, John came up and referred to the conditionality of this world, asking, “where do you exist within that?” How can we let go and release prior conditions at the end of one cycle while moving forward to the next in the New Year, without looking back, thus creating more karma?

As usual, attendees were supplied with journals that included inspirational quotes from John, definitions and questions, a New Year’s blessing, and blank writing pages. John emphasized the power of journaling to anchor whatever you wish to manifest in your life, citing a recent poll that strongly suggested people who write down what they want to accomplish tend to succeed far beyond those who don’t.

Claiming “The best is yet to come…and it’s only getting better,” John guided participants to consider their Resolution, Commitment, Dedication, Devotion, Consecration and Celebration for 2016. Those attending in person then shared “What is Your Celebration?” in small groups of four before receiving a closing blessing for 2016 from John, walking the Labyrinth and enjoying a delicious brunch.

As John said (paraphrased), “Your celebration is everyone else’s celebration…and God’s.” In that spirit, following are a few of the celebrations that participants shared after the workshop, in answer to “What is Your Resolution or Celebration for 2016?”

“To be authentic and Loving.”

“Being alive and becoming more spiritually aware.”

“Freedom.”

“To have the best relationship with a man EVER!!!”

“Healing and applying the Loving to the place inside that hurts.”

“Expressing Loving more freely.”

“To continue growing in the Light, bringing forward beautiful music.”

“Although private, I can share that my resolutions were very charged from the energy that was present today.”

“Rebirth and revitalization of my life, starting 2016 over with a clean slate.”

“Living in the celebration of God’s Loving.”

“To stay centered and aligned with myself. To remember who I am as a spiritual being and uplift and inspire those around me.”

“Loving communication in all my communication — seeing the Loving, strength and good in others and myself, being the Loving and expressing it, etc.”

“Adventure! To see the opportunities and blessings in every situation, and have fun.”

“To be open, available and obedient to God’s plan for me.”

“Let there be more Light!”

Feel free to claim any of these resolutions/celebrations for yourself…or watch the archive of the workshop and create your own! Baruch Bashan – The New Year’s blessings already are!
