I LOVE THIS! — Momentum: Letting Love Lead at Conference 2003

What a fabulous, fun-filled adventure we had letting love lead us during the Momentum: Letting Love Lead workshop facilitated by the magnificent Dr. Paul Kaye. We laughed, danced, sang and hugged our way through processes that brought us more and more aware of our True Selves. With his delightful humor and guidance, Paul helped us let go of issues, move out of the False Self, and move into a place of loving and caring for ourselves and each other.

By simply focusing on our breathing, even for ten seconds at time, we became filled with the beautiful, calm presence of Spirit. The sacred space we created made it easy to let go of our judgments and blocks. We then forgave ourselves for judging ourselves. We gracefully moved our awareness to that place inside that knows just what to do that will keep us on track as we progress as Souls. And when we found ourselves still blocked, we said three words to get us moving again — I LOVE THIS! And then we giggled in our learning.

On both days of the workshop, our beloved Travelers John-Roger and John Morton joined us for sharings, taking questions from participants and showering us with the their love, joy and wisdom. On Saturday, when John-Roger was feeling under the weather, John suggested we remove any sense of complacency we may feel inside. We then seeded for J-R’s health and John blessed the abundance of seeds. Before we knew it, J-R joined us, putting his body on the line yet again to do Spirit’s work.

First thing Saturday morning, Alicia Hayes lead us all in a hip-swinging, arm-swaying, shoulder-shimmying movement experience. Everyone in the room was up on their feet dancing — at nine o’clock in the morning! Talk about keeping the Momentum! That afternoon, Kevin McMillan and Elissa Giges had us movin’ and shakin’ again as they sang the “PTS Rap,” rapping about all the upcoming PTS classes around the world.

During the sharings, some messages I heard from J-R and John included reminding us that what is is, and we are to adjust our expectations to include the reality, and not to focus on what we think it should be. Rather than try to change our family, have acceptance for the way they are. When we compare ourselves to others, we separate from our Self. Answering one question, I heard J-R say that love is the essence of everything. Love is what holds us together. John Morton then added that love is “cosmic glue.” J-R suggested that if we’re feeling unworthy, get involved in something worthy. So I’m choosing to “stick” with the Traveler!

That evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and a full night of incredibly talented children, teenagers and even adults! As everyone poured into the room dashing for seats with their loved ones, I heard more than a few “I LOVE THIS!” to help everyone and everything go smoothly. And to have fun! We had singers, belly dancers, comic relief, guitar playing and the finale of the evening, a lively performance by the Village HuMans singing “M S I A.”

Our Momentum workshop was based on the new book Momentum: Letting Love Lead, Simple Practices for Spiritual Living, co-authored by John-Roger and Paul Kaye. The book is available for purchase at bookstores nationwide and online at Amazon.com
