“An Inward Journey” at the May 11th Q&A with John Morton & John-Roger on the Internet

I am walking towards the 2101 Wilshire building in Santa Monica where the May 11th Internet event with John Morton will take place. I am noticing a presence of gratitude and thankfulness taking place inside of me for the opportunity that is just ahead. As I am crossing the street something beautiful happens — that part of me that is God, that is loving, that is the inner master speaks: Who am I to deny God? What a breathtaking thought. Sweet water fills my eyes as I continue on. I am refreshed, and filled with loving.

Entering the building I feel very excited about the service that is taking place. Because I am a bit early, I join the event team in preparing the refreshments for the evening. That’s always a lot of fun. Those that know me, know how I love to have fun!

The building is filled with excitement as always. We love having these events. We never know what blessings will take place. Each event is so different. There must be something about preparing goodies for people that makes us so silly and full of joy. Spirit was definitely present as we all pitch in to make it happen.

The room is filling up, and we are ushered to our seats. I take out my trusty book and pen, ready to write. Carol Jones, the Director of Programs for the Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens, is our MC this evening and looking very beautiful. Carol calls us all forward into the Light and asks for a blessing. In Carol’s introduction of the evening she explains the teachings of MSIA, and mentions states and countries around the world where participants are tuning in via the Internet. This evening we have Internet participants from Egypt and Iran, that’s new!

Carol introduces our guest performer Robert Peake who is reading three of his poems for us. Robert gives us a synopsis of each poem and it’s origin. He then asks us to hold our applause until he is finished as there is something that takes place after reading each poem as we take it in. Being familiar with this process and its delightful rewards, I understand and am happy he asked. Robert’s first poem is entitled “Gratitude”. Hmm, sounds like me earlier. The next is called “Berkeley Hills Exodus”. Robert went to college at Berkeley, and he shares a beautiful experience he had there. Last, but certainly not least, is one called “A Moment in Ojai Winter”. By then I am ready to buy Robert’s book. I don’t think I am alone on this one. We all applaud joyfully for his great work. Robert is indeed a beautiful Soul.

Carol returns to the stage and announces a video clip we are about to see that includes the book launch of When Are You Coming Home by Dr’s. John-Roger and Pauli Sanderson. Also in this clip is a video promo for Initiation: Molding the Golden Chalice by John-Roger. I recommend this seminar. After the videos, Carol tells our new comers about the study materials in MSIA — for those who want to pursue a deeper relationship with their Souls.

At this point with great heartfelt loving Carol introduces John Morton. We all stand to welcome him. John plays with us for a moment by encouraging additional applause, which we were all too happy to oblige.

John starts out speaking about “The Clearing”. When we start a prayer in MSIA we will often ask for the clearing. John invites us to participate in a spiritual exercise with him as he asks for “The Clearing”. We are in the Presence of a blessing being bestowed upon us that is clearly noticeable. After what seems to be a long while, yet it wasn’t, John brings the blessing to a close with Baruch Bashan (The Blessings Already Are). Well, I didn’t really expect to remember everything at this point. What I can tell you is that I did hear the word communion and consecration. John does have a way of taking us on a very inward journey that when you return you may feel as though you went very far away. Often for me, with no memory, just present.

Our first question for the evening is from an Internet participant in New York: “How can we cope with physical illness and be in our inner awareness?” John speaks about how we need to take care of ourselves and be a co-creator with God.

In the ballroom a participant asks the next question about forcing oneself to make decisions about areas we are not clear on and also having judgments, and resistance about the process of choices. John mentions observation. At that point the voice of the Founder of MSIA, John-Roger, comes into the ballroom from another site via modern technology and our wonderful NOW Productions. We are happy to have John-Roger present with us.

A question comes from a participant in Mendoza Argentina about family relationships. John talks about loving as much as you know how to and being compassionate.

A participant from Alexandra, Egypt asks: “Who am I? What benefit is it to exist? Where is love? Where is peace? Where are human feelings?” Of course we are all ears in the ballroom waiting for the answers to some of those questions we hear so often. John asks J-R if he would like to answer on this one.

J-R speaks clearly and concisely in answer to each question. If you’d like to hear the answers, watch or listen to the archive of this event online at www.msia.org/live/archives.php.

Another question is taken from a participant on the Internet in Bogot
