On the evening of Saturday, March 26th, following a perfectly splendid day-long workshop entitled Invitation to the Christ Within, it was only fitting that our facilitator for that workshop, Pauli Sanderson, also served as M.C. for the Easter Eve Internet Broadcast with John Morton.

Pauli began with an explanation of the Ani Hu (Hu being an ancient name of God and Ani invoking empathy), and led us in the chanting, creating a sweet peacefulness in the Brentwood Ballroom at 2101 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica, CA. She then gave a very succinct explanation of MSIA, and introduced Angel Gibson, Kevin McMillan, and Barbara Wieland, who sang (and encouraged singing from the audience) an energetic and heart-felt rendition of “Amazing Grace,” accompanied by Ms. Wieland on piano.

Then Pauli introduced John Morton as Spiritual Director of MSIA. John came up to the stage, and introduced a “Moment of Peace” video from his recent journey to Thailand following the tsunami disaster. John spoke a bit about the beauty and serenity he experienced in Thailand, even in the beach front town of Phuket, where the tsunami had done extensive damage. He announced that he would be leading another trip there in January-February of 2006, as well as to the Mekong Delta and Laos, and he opened registration to all. [For further details, click here].

John welcomed all of the people participating in the broadcast via the Internet, and asked that the Light be sent to the following morning’s Easter at the Beach Seminar and Pancake Brunch, for good weather and Easter Bunny sightings.

John mentioned the Invitation to the Christ Within workshop, and that it was a part of our honoring and worshipping the Kingdom and the Divinity within. He made several references to the Biblical account of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, and discussed various aspects of those events. He described the various traditional sites in Jerusalem where the events are purported to have taken place.

He related a series of events involving rides to a hotel and to an airport and talked about “The Big Hand” in those events. It seemed from listening to John that “The Big Hand” is a fun way of expressing that Spirit is involved in our lives. By the amount of laughter in the audience, it was clear that we are all familiar with “The Big Hand.” John went on to speak about the Christ in many very touching ways. Following John’s Baruch Bashan (which means “The blessings already are”), Pauli returned to announce that the next Internet Broadcast will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 12 noon. There are also weekly MSIA Seminars featuring John Morton and John-Roger on videotape at 2101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, California every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
