An uplifting Seminar and Q&A with John Morton brought a fitting end to a wonderful PTS class, “Momentum” Letting Love Lead.” The loving that is present at these live Internet Broadcasts with John is so touching, and, good news, it is available to ALL! The excellence with which MSIA presents the teachings (to those who are looking for them) has improved steadily, year by year, to a level of professionalism on a par with any globally-based church.

Peace Theological Seminary (PTS) Facilitator Jackie Peterson was the Emcee for the evening, having led the Momentum class for all five weeks. She explained a little about the invocation of the Light and the Ani-Hu (a chant to focusing on God and empathy), and listed the sponsors of the evening’s program as the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), PTS, John-Roger (MSIA’s founder), and John Morton. She stated that the teachings of MSIA focus on knowing oneself as a Soul with a body, or living from the inside out. She also mentioned Soul Awareness Discourses (the heart of MSIA’s teachings), a “magical” manual for living life.

Then Jackie introduced a short video, taken from a John-Roger seminar on CD called “Initiation: Molding the Golden Chalice”. That was followed by Val Kempmeyer on piano accompanying baritone William Hanrahan who sang two songs, “A Poor Wayfaring Stranger”, and “How Firm A Foundation.” Lovely and inspiring. Then we watched a Moment of Peace (a short video clip from John-Roger’s and John Morton’s travels in peace around the planet) from Guilin, China.

Next, Jackie introduced John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA and the featured speaker for the evening. The first thing John mentioned was that there were people participating live online from as far away as Bangladesh, Australia, Belgium, Chile, France, Sweden, United Kingdom, and all across the USA. Then he began his portion of the proceedings with an inner process, a tranquil, beautiful, grace-filled Blessing for all. Then he opened to questions from those who had been participating as members of the Momentum class for the entire five weeks.

One person asked how to best handle her grief over the death of a loved one, and John’s response was sweet, recommending focus on the completion and fulfillment, and letting go.

Another participant voiced concern about money and health challenges. John offered several techniques for transcending what appear to be blocks, and reminded us all about being grateful for our blessings.

From Cuernavaca, Mexico, a woman spoke of the challenge of creating an MSIA community there. John gave her support for the MSIA inside of her, rather than the outer organization, and pointed her toward the MSIA materials that are in Spanish.

From Miami, Florida, a person asked about creating a more positive self-image. The answer had to do with creating trust of Self, which creates confidence.

Someone asked, “How can I know the difference between feelings and the Spirit?” John’s immediate response included powerful words regarding fear and courage, and getting value from what’s working.
