“Spiritual Warriors” at the Bryn Mawr Theater!

Article imageOn August 28, 2006, the Spiritual Warriors movie screened at the Bryn Mawr Theater in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Dr. Marc Rosenbaum and I took a train from NYC to Philadelphia and we set up at the theater for the event.
This was the Seville Theater in 1926, and became the Bryn Mawr Theater in the 1950’s. The once glorious atrium skylight and second story arcade were concealed beneath a dropped acoustical tile ceiling. On the facade, the original marquee was replaced with a larger, neon version. It was a proud moment to see John-Roger’s name in lights.
This theater for one night became the home for the film. We sold more tickets than “The Illusionist” and filled the theater. Wow.
