An Open MSIA Seminar Webcast with John Morton

Here we are at the 2101 building in Santa Monica for an Open MSIA Seminar with John Morton, webcast worldwide on the Internet. Contrary to popular belief, we actually do have seasonal changes here in Los Angeles, they’re just a bit more subtle. The evenings grow a little cooler, and it’s a bit darker earlier. The slight scent of wood smoke joins with salty beach air here in Santa Monica. This is our version of Autumn: a paler, less robust form of what folks in, say, northeastern Canada might be experiencing. Nevertheless, we are most grateful for the drop in temperatures, after a very hot summer.

Alexandra Roberts opened the evening, called us forward into the Light, and explained a little about the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), Peace Theological Seminary, and tonight’s free public program. Such a feeling of peace and sweetness pervade the evening.

The inimitable Barbara Wieland had us laughing riotously, with her rendition of two of her original songs, “The Great and Glorious Bellhop in the Sky”, and “The Reincarnation Rag.” Hoots and howls all around.

One of MSIA’s three presidents, Paul Kaye, known ’round the world as Lord Tithington, spoke about the spiritual principles of abundance and prosperity — Tithing and Seeding. He introduced the latest episode from God Is Your Partner Television , featuring Maritza and Rinaldo Porcile.

We watched two “Moment of Peace” video clips, one featuring Dr. John-Roger, founder of MSIA, and another with John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA. Everyone stood and gave John Morton a round of applause when Alexandra introduced him.

John’s first item for the evening was to give us some information about upcoming events and screenings of the film Spiritual Warriors from a script written by Dr. John-Roger, and Jsu Garcia. Next, John put forward a Blessing (he’s famous for this) activating Light, and reaching for Light. He invited all of us to participate and partake by being open inwardly.

He then opened up for Questions and Answers. Such a wide range of questions came forward: “How can I experience more of God?” “How can I create a stronger inner connection with the Traveler, and with God?” “How can I distinguish my mental traffic from the emotional noise?” “What will help to heal the pain of ancient memories?” “How can I function more in harmony with myself, and choose more happiness?” “How can I befriend the “petty tyrants” next door?”

Through all of his answers, John encouraged us to: trust ourselves, “act as if” we are a spiritual being in order to become one; see the blessings already upon us; take time to stretch ourselves into Spirit, with compassion and loving; come to our divinity even if we’re hobbling; detach from outcomes, be grateful and appreciative for the good in life; and remember we are already home with God.

When Alexandra closed the evening with a few announcements, there were happy hearts all around, sharing the depth of Spirit and the joy of the moment.
