The Traveler Through Observation

Article imageToday is Monday August 18, 2003 and I have just completed this brand new workshop “The Traveler Through Observation” which took place in Sydney, Australia, and it was the first time this workshop has been presented in English. My heart fills up and I find it hard to find words to express the value I received.

We were a group of eight participants and two beautiful facilitators, Joanne Barrett and Anita Maria. One of the many memorable moments was on Sunday morning as I was leaving my home at 7:00 a.m., walking to the bus stop. I had a realization and it blew me away. I went inside and practiced a technique that I had been taught in the workshop and had modified slightly for myself and realized I had absolutely no concerns — or as we say here in Australia, “No worries, mate!” — about the present, the past or the future. There was a new sense of peace and freedom, freedom from the past and freedom towards the future. It was a transcending moment.

Perhaps I can share with you the feelings prior to taking this weekend workshop. When I talked with the facilitator and found out some of the requirements (one of which was the ungodly early starting hour for both Saturday and Sunday morning), it brought up the red flag of resistance. However I took the workshop anyway.

Saturday was stretch day, and I was not ready to do that. As usual for me the stretch was great, and I would be more than willing to do it again. The atmosphere in the room was electric. Karma was being released by the bucketful — without processing, tears, emotions, or any mental level considerations. And what was magical was the method of releasing the karma, and the steps that we learned.

We sat down to seven marvelous meals, and we would often remark at the sacredness of each meal, and while we were ten at the table, one or another would casually remark that it felt like twelve because John-Roger and John Morton were always present.
