In response to the events in New York City and Washington D.C. today, John Morton shared this with all of us:

AT A TIME LIKE THIS AMIDST ALL THE HORROR AND CRISIS, THERE IS GREAT NEED FOR THE CALM, CLEAR, MERCIFUL PRESENCE THAT IS THE DIVINE NATURE. FOR MANY, THE IMPACT IS SO EXTREME THAT THEY ARE COMPELLED TO DEAL WITH THE OUTER CALAMITY. FOR THOSE OF US AT SOME DISTANCE WHEREUPON WE ARE LEFT TO OBSERVE AND GRASP FOR UNDERSTANDING AND HOW TO RESPOND, LET US FIRST PRAY, AND DIRECT OUR INNER RESOURCES IN THE SPIRIT TO COMFORT AND ASSIST ALL THOSE IN NEED. LET US CALL UPON WHAT IS NEEDED IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF ALL, THAT LOVE, CARING, AND MERCY CAN REIGN. LET US LOOK UPON WITH COMPASSION AND STRENGTH OF GOD’S WILL THE NECESSARY RESPONSE AND BALANCING ACTION THAT MUST OCCUR SUCH THAT WHAT BECOMES IS A WORLD AT PEACE IN MUTUAL HARMONY. LET US HOLD FOR A NEW LIFE ON EARTH SUCH THAT OUR DIFFERENCES ARE RESPECTED AND WE DO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

A person wrote this to John Morton about the events in New York and Washington D.C.:
“And, if you have any influence with God, please tell Him/Her/It that his plan needs work.”

John Morton replied:
“The plan is perfect; we are the ones who need to work it. This world is one long test in what we are learning. We consider that out of God come all things, and we also have an opportunity to choose the loving, even while others do not. One day when we, each of us, leave this world, we are held accountable for the choices of our life while in this world. Let us choose wisely, that our day of reckoning is in celebration of the glory of God.”
