The topic of this seminar is peace; however, John-Roger gets there in some strange and entertaining ways. He talks about things he learned as a youngster in his family (always fun), and he tells a spellbinding story of how he and his Dad were stopped by a mob of union mine workers. One of them pulled a gun on the pre-teen J-R and you’ll be amazed at the skillful way his father handled it.
About such challenges, J-R says, “We have to pick ourselves up continuously as people who say, ‘I and my family, we go for peace.’ But does that mean that you don’t have to stand up for your rights? Probably you’re going to have to stand up for them more because as soon you’re challenged in something in this world that we all inhabit, you’re challenged by the forces of the loyal opposition to see if it is true, if what you say is so.”
In describing the peace we are striving for, J-R says, “It is not the peace of dying and submitting into negativity. It is the peace of standing up in great strength and purpose, with great intention towards God’s loving of mankind, that we bring the peace to bear everywhere we
