While the only thing that’s permanent is change, somehow J-R manages to present information that is always current. This ministers-only seminar is as relevant today as when J-R gave it in 1983. He starts out saying, “As a ministerial body, you have to, as part of ‘regardless of the situation or circumstance’ minister to each other. And that really means that you have to take and put away all of the standards of what you will and won’t do…” And then J-R just goes on from there, with instruction on how we can minister to each other with counseling and spiritual advice based on our own life experience.
Over the course of this hour plus seminar, J-R covers such things as why going to ministers meetings is so helpful, what to do when people feel obligated or grateful to you (it’s not a good thing), and he tells some fascinating stories about when he was teaching high school and when he realized he could not live in a world without love.
