Peace on the Bus

I know the Light works. I know the Traveler is always with me, and I’m aware of it some days more than others. I won’t leave home without surrounding myself with Light and asking God and the Traveler to protect me. I know all that, but there are days like today when the power of the Light and how it works leave me in total awe.

This morning I took a bus to go to the office, as cabs were not available.

At one point, at a bus stop, two guys got on the bus and one of them simply said,Ā Ā “We were just released from jail, and we need to go home. We don’t want to commit a crime, but we need money.”

I was scared, and a woman near me panicked, but suddenly I felt this strange sense of peace. I dared to ask, “How much do you need?”
One of the men said, ā€œ$100ā€.

The bus driver said, “Please, don’t hurt anyone. Let’s see if we can get what you need”.

I had a $10 bill in my pocket. I took it out and said, ā€œHere, $10″. Then other people began adding money. With the same sense of peace, I said to the first guy, “Can we make a deal?” He smiled at me and said, “I guess with you, we can make a deal”.

I didn’t know what to think. I wasnā€™t sure whether they were going to hurt me or not. I still felt that powerful peace. Furthermore, I then asked him, “If we can gather $100 will you go without hurting anyone?” and the second guy said, “Right madame, as you say”.

The money was gathered, the guys asked the bus driver to stop at the next block, and they left. The woman who was in panic began to cry and shout. The bus driver began to calm the passengers, and suddenly I was aware that I left home without my wallet. The only things in my backpack were my Tablet, my phone, my notebook, pens, and the $10 bill that I gave to the men.Ā I told the bus driver that I could transfer money to pay him, and he laughed sweetly and said, “Madame, you have no idea of what you did. So, do not worry about paying. Your ticket was already paid with gentleness and bravery”. I almost cried.

As I left the bus I thanked the bus driver, and told the other riders to take care. When I arrived at the office, I was trembling. I drank water and told the story and laughed when I was recounting the whole thing.

The Light works āœØ

  1. Oh Andreina, What a beautiful, extraordinary happening. God bless you for being there – for yourself, for the two men, and for everyone on the bus. And thank you for reminding us how powerful we are – a wee bit absentminded, but powerful :o)
