MSIA Presidency Update — February 2025

“Identify yourself as the inner master, that you and the inner master are one with God and all creation, that you are a consciousness of God, a direct knowing, an emanation of God’s consciousness.”

There’s nothing to do, no effort is required; you are attuning and being attuned; the inner master is with you as you allow. This is a consciousness of freedom. Allow the healing of this Light to balance, to harmonize, to regenerate. Claim this experience, realize that is eternal; it is of your Soul and beloved of God.”
– John Morton

MSIA’s Conference of the Inner Master  will be hosted at Prana.  Please save the dates June 25 – 30, 2025 and consider coming to visit this year.  The magic of  Conference is even more fun in person!

We began January with a major convergence here in Los Angeles.  The Eaton and Palisades Fires began on January 7, quickly impacting our environment and displacing friends and family who lost homes or were evacuated.   This was the view west from the Prana roof, towards the Palisades, on the first evening of the fires.

We immediately opened the Prana campus to MSIA students who needed a place to land after the fires started displacing people from their homes – either because they were directly impacted or were under evacuation orders .   HeartReach jumped in to help get information out to the community and get Light on the situation, coordinated with the Prana campus, and helped coordinate places to stay outside of the Prana campus when needed.  Some MSIAers stayed at Prana just a couple of days until their homes were safe to return to.   They expressed great appreciation for the safety and sanctuary they experienced.

Former residents like Ofelia Mancera and Sharon Soeller were delighted to experience Prana life again after many years.   Others, like Lady Rodriguez, were amazed and grateful to be immersed in the Traveler energy present in the house.   It was sweet to see them jump in to assist at Prana with the expanded population – like helping with salad bar preparation or cleaning the dining room after a crowd for an event came through.

The impact was enormous. Most of us know friends and associates who lost everything in the fires.  Although things are generally back to normal in the city, the affected areas will be recovering for several years to come. It was heartening that Prana was in a safe zone and was able to support our community at such a devastating time.  More than a month later, we have nine folks still living here while they sort out an eventual return to their homes or make other arrangements.

At last December’s Living in Grace retreat, someone asked Vincent Dupont for some tips on learning to be a good facilitator.   Vincent said that what comes to mind are: practice, and something J-R told him very early on: getting out of the way (especially his own way) and letting the Lord minister through him. (He is still practicing!).   We plan to hold a retreat again at Asilomar on December 8-14, 2025, as well as a South American edition of Living in Grace in Colombia on January 26 – February 1, 2026.

The Laughter, Humor, Joy and Happiness, The Golden Age Is Now fundraiser and birthday party for Leigh Taylor-Young on January 25 was a smash success and delight for all who attended online and in person.   The event raised $100,000 to benefit animal care at Windermere Ranch, a focus especially dear to Leigh’s heart.   Check out the NDH article about the event, with photo slideshows by David Sand, here.  Also look for photos and a glorious recap in the next Windermere newsletter coming out soon.   Subscribe here for the Windermere newsletter if you aren’t already on the Windermere Newsletter mailing list.

Although Prana is in the heart of urban Los Angeles, we still experience a lot of nature. We have many trees, a fish pond, may water features, and are visited by possums, racoons, and coyotes, David Jaramillo recently saw a beautiful hawk in one of the garden trees.

We also have doves, sparrows, and crows around the property – as well as roving flocks of squawking wild parrots. Spotting a hawk is more unusual.  A group of crows (correctly known as a murder of crows, believe it or not) also spotted the hawk and were none too pleased to see it near their nests.  They gathered in nearby trees and let the hawk know they prefer it find a different hunting ground.

And that was the first month of our new year!

Thank you for all that you give in so many ways. As J-R would constantly remind us, “It is the loving that makes all this work.” We love and appreciate you.

God bless you,

Mark, Paul, Vincent, Sherie, David, and Jeffrey
