Guardian Angels in HeartReach

Do you ever get discomfort between and around your shoulder blades?  Well, I do, and I decided to ask my sister Joanne Avison about it. Joanne’s knowledge and experience of anatomy, and particularly fascia, is significant. She explained that this is where my angel wings need adjusting.

My angel wings tend to require adjusting when I am not doing service, or doing a lot of service and not taking care of myself first.  For me, HeartReach Guardian Angel Teams mean that I can step up to serve others with a small group of supportive ministers. I first heard the phrase ‘guardian angels’ at a HeartReach Monthly Forum Zoom meeting. A small group of HeartReach representatives and volunteers had come together to share their ministries in service to a minister who had a few different needs. By connecting as a small team, each person could bring their unique ministerial offerings. The minister in distress got varied help and the guardian angels supported each other.

HeartReach is a branch of HeartFelt that focuses predominantly on supporting fellow ministers, while HeartFelt is about service in the community beyond MSIA. Since becoming a representative of HeartReach, I have been involved in a wide range of short-term support projects including:

• Supporting a minister during their recovery after a fall.

• Helping a minister in considerable distress fill in an application to HeartReach for short-term financial help.

• Contributing to the team putting together a GoFundMe page for a fellow minister.

My individual HeartReach ministry is quite personal and not ‘prescribed’, so I am free to respond to what I become aware of and let my heart guide me, such as:

  1. Hosting a monthly Zoom meeting called “Connecting in MSIA” which is on the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm GMT, 10am PT, for one hour. We have a topic or guest and include sharing.  Email me at caroline@khambatta.com to be added to the invitation emailing list.
  2. Ad hoc events such as a coffee shop get together before the last Traveler visit.
  3. Communicating with ministers and initiates through email, WhatsApp, cards and calls, when appropriate.

I am learning how different each person’s idea of support is and learning to adapt accordingly. If you want to get involved, please contact your local representative or Lori Matson, at  LoriMatson@msia.org. This is an opportunity to express your loving in your own unique way. My fellow UK representative, Louise Lautman, does a regular walk in central London where ministers plant light columns, for more information please contact Louise at louiseuk-eu-heartr@outlook.com.

So, if you feel you want to spread your wings doing your own unique service and fancy some support and team involvement please get in touch.

Love and Light,

Caroline

  1. Thank you Caroline, for your heartfelt service as a HeartReach Rep.
and for the steadfast support you give to me, and to many others.
I enjoy being in your “Connecting in MSIA” monthly gathering on zoom. It is where I go to lift, learn and love even more, and it is so much fun !

  2. I also sometimes get (used to get) pain around my shoulder blades, so I really appreciated your perspective on that.
