January 1, 2011 was our annual New Year’s Resolution Spa Day with John Morton. It dawned bright, sunny and crisply cold. Once again the rooms at Prana were full to overflowing as so many chose to come into the Home of the Traveler.

Leigh Taylor-Young was our mistress of ceremonies and as she ascended the stage, she welcomed us all to this glorious morning. Then she led us all in calling in the Light and chanting the Ani-Hu. We experienced and participated in the listening and the chanting of HU as the sound current of God was made manifest in all our hearts. Leigh very simply then introduced the “Blessings man,” the Spiritual Director of MSIA and world Traveler, our Beloved John Morton.”

I heard John share that we all made it to 2011 & something new too, we’re moving towards celebration. He spoke of the passages in our journals provided for this day, and welcomed everyone to Soul Transcendence. He described the word “Traveler” as referenced by John-Roger, and then shared that we have all that we need to do everything we came into this world to do. Even the celebration transcends this thing we call death. We are resolved in Soul Transcendence, resolved into our birth place that is in Spirit.

Next we watched a Moment of Peace from 1992 by John-Roger, founder of MSIA, in which he spoke about cooperation, expression, and solid foundation.

I heard John Morton say that one of the reasons we’re here, is God, to have God, that’s a resolution. And that God loves us anyway, no matter what we do, which is unconditional love. God loves all of Its creation. There is a response that is loving, there is only one energy, and it is love, God is love and in the book of John, it says, “God is love, and he who dwells in love, dwells in God.” [1 John, 4:16 – New Testament]. John went on to explain that purpose is what we find in resolution, that this has to do with intention, and God is intention; God is purpose.

John shared about how in MSIA we say “for the highest good”, and “the highest good of all concerned”. What we have is the opportunity to play at the highest level for the highest good.

John, our “blessings man”, then gave us a blessing, touching to all. Then he directed us once again to our journals to write our inspirations about commitment, dedication, devotion, celebration, and consecration — about our purpose, focus, and life on this new day, this new year. Next, we were directed to find 3 others, and as a foursome, each person got to share, “What is our celebration and what is our resolution?” When this was completed, we acknowledged our celebration and our resolve to celebrate in this new year.

Now we were prepared, and John shared about walking the labyrinth. Prana is also known as Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens. Our labyrinth is built to the same scale as the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral, that mystical harmonic architectural structure in France, and John actually was there with John-Roger one year. I also heard John suggest that when we come into the center of the labyrinth with oneness with God, we could walk out in the oneness and retain it into the world.

Yet once again, before walking this outdoor labyrinth, John poured forth another blessing for us all, and unto us all, as we silently left the room and made our way down to the labyrinth. The day surely was bright and beautiful. The air was crisp and clean after so much rainfall, and it was very cool. I gratefully bundled up in my coat.

After a short prayer, I walked the labyrinth, very slowly, consciously and focused. I silently breathed in H, and silently exhaled U. Step by step, until almost to the center, an incredible Joy filled my Soul. I walked to the center, palms together in prayer consciousness to receive. Silently, eyes closed, I stepped and quietly focused on these prayers: “Our Father-Mother God, who art in heaven, and the God realms, hallowed be thy holy name of sacred sound”….. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy WILL be done on Earth, as it is, in Heaven”…. “Give us this day, our daily bread, to nurture our Souls, that we may partake of You on every level”….And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and forgive all of creation, unto this universe and all universes, I forgive it all”…. “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, negativity, and karma”….”For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever, and ever, and ever throughout all eternity”. And all resolved into One, Holy oneness and completion. Only GOD IS. All I know is Joy. Rejoicing is the sounding of repeating Joy!

With palms together – I slowly left the labyrinth outwardly with smiling heart and face unto all. I walked across the courtyard to the opposite side on the grass and spotted a hummingbird darting in and out around me, and before me — ruby throated hummingbird, the bird of “resurrection”, and of Joy that I so gratefully associate with the Traveler too. My secret heart filled with great loving as I walked down into the gardens, and in the parking lot. The first car license plate I saw, said, “Jota Ere”, that’s J-R in Spanish.

I walked back up to go to brunch. I climbed until I reached the top stairs, and there before me were John Morton and Leigh Taylor Young — grinning at me, welcoming me. Next I was into the arms of the Traveler, and then into the arms of Leigh, my dear sweet friend. God is Magnificent this day, as always.

On this day we communed with the Lord, with God and the presence of the Mystical Traveler in John Morton as we shared this new day, this new year dawning. Pristine Loving was created anew to embrace us all. God, thy will be done.
