It was a beautiful day, Holy Saturday on April 23rd in 2011, and the Spirit filled the room at 2101 Wilshire in Santa Monica for MSIA’s Easter Eve Webcast with John Morton. The Souls who gathered there were lively, bright, and joyful.
Opening the webcast was a band of rockers, who played and sang an upbeat, get-up-on-your-feet version of āJesus Is Just All Right With Me,ā and received a standing ovation for their efforts. Included among the musicians were Gabe Morgan, John Morgan, Paul Davidson, Eric Lumiere, Joshua Hayes (a stunning guitar solo there), and Joshās guitar teacher Shaun.
With great enthusiasm and loving, Leigh Taylor-Young called in the Light for us all. She was followed by a meditative clarinet solo by Alethea Lamb, which brought in a beautiful, peaceful vibration.
Leigh announced that the webcast was being watched or listened to in Brazil, Nigeria, Australia, Chile, Colombia, as well as Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California here in the U.S.
We were treated to a couple of John-Roger’s Moment of Peace videos on the theme of Easter, and then the group gave a warm welcome to John Morton, the Spiritual Director of MSIA.
John began the program by speaking at length about the factual history of Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of the law and the prophecies, which, he said, still remains a mystery. He reminded us that resurrection is promised to everyone, and inspired us all to meet the challenges that Christ issued to his disciples, to āLove one another,ā and to āDo what I have done and even greater.ā
As a parting statement, John urged each one of us to stand forward in the truth of our hearts. He closed with the words, āBaruch Bashan,ā which means, āThe blessings already are.ā And the Webcast was complete.
