Friday June 1, Prana hosted the amazing first-of-its-kind, Up-Close and Personal Friday Night Seminar with our beloved Traveler, John Morton. There were precious moments to recall, but first let me say words fall short of the actual experience. John’s seminar was poignant, sweet and heart-opening. He was warm and funny and got to the heart of many of our queries as he answered questions from 3×5 cards that the audience submitted, both in the room and online. At some points he engaged the in-room audience by asking them to choose a card. And throughout the evening, John reached out to us in his own very personal and endearing way.

Master of Ceremonies and regular Prana Friday Night Seminar Leader, Richard Klein, welcomed us in his warm and homey style. More highlights as openers to the seminar were Denise Lumiere singing one of my favorites, “Oh Messenger of Grace.” This sweet tribute to the Traveler has remained in our hearts and memories ever since the 70’s when she sang it to J-R. Then one of everyone’s favorites took place–a baby blessing! Denise Birtch’s baby girl Gracie Faith, was blessed by John while eleven family members participated including “big brother” Gavin.

Many newcomers attended. We filled both the Large Seminar Room and the Foyer wall to wall, spilling into the Small Seminar Room and up the grand stairs. Sound was piped into the dining room as well. And as in Prana’s olden days when J-R gave live seminars regularly, more people filled the now empty floor space in front of the room where the baby blessing took place. PTS’s Year One Masters Class was in attendance as well. How convenient for a class being held at Prana West to walk down the street to Prana! And while all of Prana was a-buzz, there were also over 200 folks viewing online from 10 different countries around the world.

John made a point of sharing there would be more seminars like this and more opportunities for entertainment “contributions.” After the seminar, there was lots of schmoozing in the dining room over banana cake and cookies.

It was a fun night in person at Prana, a little reminiscent of the J-R seminars back in the 70’s which means that those of us who attended seminars back in “the good ole’ days”, are now several years older! It was mentioned that these seminars will become more frequent and include entertainment/sharing like we used to do back then. Always great to see new and older friends. Thank you Prana, NOW, and John for this sweet Gift.
