Momentum: Letting Love Lead

Article imageIn the always fun and uplifting pursuit of “Making the Teachings of the Traveler available to those who are looking for them,” I had often wondered if we could create a PTS class which addressed day-to-day issues with an MSIA flavor and focus on Spirit so that people could have a “first hand” experience of the Traveler’s energy — all in an environment that could be participative, dynamic and inwardly directed at the same time.

In 1999, Paul Kaye, President of MSIA, shared with me that he had thought of such a training and he would like to “test it out” in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November, 2000, which at that time seemed light years away.

Time flew by and before we knew it, we were in front of approximately 50 people; 20 of them were new to MSIA, and a couple of them had left the study of Discourses. The rest of the participants were enthusiastic Discourse subscribers.

Those five days were some of the most fun, dynamic and fresh “training” days I have ever experienced. We talked, shared, played, meditated, did Spiritual Exercises, and heard stories in a dynamic, lighthearted and humor-filled way. Each day the issue of life and its limitations took a back seat to the experience of the enjoyment of inner life, whatever it had to give us. Each day we had loving as evidence of the ever-present participation and cooperation of God/Spirit as our partner in our lives — even when we thought it had abandoned us.

What struck me most about this workshop was the quiet quality that developed and climaxed during the 5 days and the evening which took place two days after the training was over. I could tell that people were letting themselves be lead by love; there was an absence of euphoric, outwardly flowing energy. It was instead a quiet, powerful, majestic thing.

By the end of the training, 13 of the 20 new people had signed-up for Discourses. A week later, 2 more signed-up making a total of 15 including one person who had left Discourses and restarted.

Here are some of the comments of the new participants:

“I would recommend Momentum because God and Loving become so present that it is as though you can touch them. It is the most practical way of re-encountering God that I have ever experienced.” —A.O. Buenos Aires.

“What I loved the most was to be able to talk about problems in different areas of my life. I found it impressive and most useful to find clarity as to the best way to overcome it.” —K. O. Buenos Aires.

“I was in love with it because I felt again true love. I was fascinated by the unconditional energy of MSIA.”

“I loved the fact that I was able to find the real SuperHero of my life: that is I.” —T.M. Polinevi

Dear Editor,

It’s the time of the year for claiming completions and balances. Ever since the new training called “Momentum – Letting Love Lead” ended after 5 wonderful days on November 19th in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I’ve had in my heart to write through you to my fellow travelers about the formidable experience it was to be one of some 50 participants in this basics-for-a-loving-life training which had its inaugural flight in this city.

Our very own MSIA president Paul Kaye came to facilitate it, and it was a privilege to be part of an open training directed towards non-MSIAers, and have this realization that the simple and most powerful tools I have been taught and shown, read about and experienced, over and over, must be used if I want my life to work or change: Breathe – Listen inside – Let go and Let God – Pray – Forgive – Observe… It seems incredible, after years of Sunday School, churchgoing, etc. etc., for the first time in my life I’ve been learning how to pray and how not to pray, by observing the results. The famous “be careful what you pray for…” I’m in the 3-digit years of Discourses, so it’s not as though the information hasn’t been available!

I’m not sure where the formula lay, and it doesn’t really matter if there was a formula, because Spirit was so present that there was no difference between newcomers and students, whether some had never heard the Ani Hu chanted before or ever sat in a threesome process. The high level and quality of respect and unconditional loving from our facilitator and translator Jesus Becerra were reflected in everyone, every day, from beginning to end.

Here I am more than a month later, still adjusting to the subtle yet powerful movement set in motion, and starting to glimpse where my resistances lie, in accepting that the momentum on this planet is love, starting with myself, and that nothing else works.

Thank you Paul for your commitment and loving service, and I hope many more can get to experience this training.

In Love and Light
Kate Kirby

Momentum is a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday evening, all day Saturday, all day Sunday workshop, with an optional evening in the week after the workshop. The purpose is an introduction to MSIA for people not studying Soul Awareness Discourses. It is also excellent support for people on their first and second year of Discourses. MSIA oldtimers will enjoy it also.

For more information about how to bring Momentum to your community, contact PTS at 323-737-4055 or Paul Kaye at paulkaye@msia.org
