John-Roger & John Morton Book Signing in Maryland

Article imageIn a Starbucks sipping, khaki wearing, upscale suburb just outside of Washington D.C., a local book mecca (Barnes and Noble) hosted the first book signing of John-Roger’s new release “Loving Each Day for Moms and Dads.” Following the format of its predecessors, “Loving Each Day for Moms and Dads” is the next book in the “Loving Each Day” series, including an inspiring yet practical journal that guides parents to see their child rearing experiences in a new light. John Morton, in the middle of an extensive promotion tour of his book “The Blessings Already Are,” joined J-R for a double author book signing.

John Morton started out the evening, introducing J-R’s new book and reading some selections from it. John spoke of his own parenting experience, saying that parenting is the most important job on the planet. Then he moved into his sincere proem of John-Roger.

J-R shared with his usual unconventional humor, talking of different book ideas from putting chocolate in books to get people to buy them, to creating a series of books called the Toilet Series. With his off beat ideas, and in bending the rules of how people ‘should’ think, he demonstrated creativity and told of how creativity and doing are Siamese twins. He spoke of creativity in life, giving examples of how it works when it is unrestricted. J-R shared of seeing children and wanting to partake in their goodness, and of his special relationship with John Morton’s daughter Claire.

Covering an extraordinary amount of information he laid out the scenario leading up to divorce (when two people are in the “I’m right, your wrong” attitude), and how he had solved this in his counseling sessions with couples. He summed divorce up with the idea that it is two people who have lost sight of the divinity in each other. All in all, John-Roger shared his wealth of information for over an hour, after which point the book signing took place. Between J-R and John, they sold an impressive 125 books!
