The Windermere Family Picnic with John-Roger & John Morton

One of my favorite memories of childhood was the extended family picnic. Several generations of folks would gather at the family farm and sit under the trees to enjoy the bounty of the land. I was reminded of that tradition on Saturday, October 2nd, at Windermere Ranch when several generations of our spiritual family gathered to share communion with one another at a barbecue and seminar event hosted by The Institute for Individual and World Peace (IIWP).

We sat in the shade of the sheltering oaks next to the meandering ponds while enjoying a picnic MSIA style. Much of the day was as I remembered from my youth. Children ran and played, creating their own joyful reality. Young adults (including Phil Danza) tossed a football roundabout. There were planned activities at Windermere such as Lynn Cox’s pony rides for the children and George Pace’s unique buggy rides courtesy of our sweet and obliging Palomino Future who carried us around in a real surrey (with fringe on top).

There were more activities for the children with Clarke Franke’s impromptu rides on his little 4X wheeler
