Did you know you can choose to be happy? Think happy thoughts? Do happy things? That’s what we did at the “1000 Ways to Happiness” Webclass with John Morton. From the studio audience in Santa Monica, California to our friends and family around the world on the Internet, we discovered infinite ways to happiness — the happiness that we truly are.

Our evening began with the lovely Alexandra Roberts happily welcoming us all. In her gentle, sweet voice, Alexandra called us forward into the Light of God, reminding us that the Ani Hu we chant brings forward empathy for the God within us all. Such a happy heart I have when we chant together around the world!

Alexandra then explained the guidelines for our happy class which include:
1. Take care of yourself so you can help take care of others,
2. Don’t hurt yourself and don’t hurt others, and
3. Use everything for your learning, upliftment and growth.
Keys to happiness!

The radiant Barbara Weiland, a.k.a. Divine Curator of the John-Roger and John Morton Library and Archives, happily played and sang two original songs, reminding us of some of the fundamental messages of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA). Although I didn’t see anyone dancing in the studio audience, my happy feet got moving to the lively “Looking for the Good in Everything!”

Jsu Garcia, a supremely happy Spiritual Warrior, let us know of upcoming premieres for the Spiritual Warriors movie — August in Beverly Hills, California, September in London, England, and October in Chicago, Illinois. In London & Chicago, John Morton will be happily facilitating “Spiritual Warrior Workshops” in tandem with the movie screenings. If you haven’t yet read the book or seen the movie, here are some more keys to happiness — check out www.spiritualwarrior.org and www.spiritualwarriors.com. If you want to share your happiness at an upcoming “Spiritual Warrior Workshop”, go to www.msia.org and click Events Calendar.

Next, we watched happy Moments of Peace with children of all ages sharing the joys of God’s Light and Love. Jsu Garcia reminded us that we can watch Moments of Peace (another key to happiness) anytime we choose at www.youtube.com. Just type “John-Roger” or “John Morton” in the Search box and click the Moment of Peace of your happy choice.

With a happy smile, Alexandra introduced our facilitator and the Spiritual Director of MSIA, John Morton. Happy to be with us, John read John-Roger’s Challenge of the Week from the MSIA website, which serendipitously happened to be about — happiness! “See flowers blooming everywhere you go,” the challenge starts. Be sure to check out this week’s challenge at www.msia.org, and every week’s John-Roger challenge (the challenge changes on Monday of each week), for endless keys to happiness.

John reminded us that we all have a need and a quest for happiness as that is the true nature of our Soul. Happiness is inside, John explained, here and now within everyone. John introduced our partner exercise for the class which included discovering and experiencing ways to happiness, like Find the Humor, Turn on the Light (God’s Light, that is), and Focus on Gratitude — A Great Attitude. We watched some happy John-Roger excerpts reminding us of the infinite source of our happiness within. I especially enjoyed John-Roger’s happy thoughts about giraffes, golf balls and making love.

Before we shared with our happy partners, John called us forward into the Light, encouraging us to turn up our voltage and be lit up happily in the Light of the Divine. Since I was participating via the Internet, I shared with my happiness “Partner” by typing my sharing onto the handout provided. I discovered new ways to let go of blocks to my happiness, and I learned keys to how I can more fully embrace the joy that is always inside. As John brought our sharing to a close, he took us on an inner journey of happiness, bringing happy thoughts to every inch of our happy selves. By the time John guided us back from our happy travels, I overflowed with a big, warm, happy feeling inside and a greater knowing of the joy that is the truth of my happy Soul.

Happy to take our questions, John responded to happy participants from both the studio audience and around the world, including Colombia, Nigeria and New Jersey. I heard John remind us that God wants us to be happy because we are treasured and adored. As we know our happiness within, we radiate happiness outward to others, sharing the joy and beauty that is our Soul. Be compassionate towards hurt feelings, John encouraged us, while choosing to be happy. Let go and let God, and catch the joy that is always present.

In closing, John suggested that one of the ways to create happiness is to pass happiness along. As a happy co-creator with my happiness Partner, I’m passing along to you some more great keys to happiness:
1. Tune in to the 1000 Ways to Happiness Webclass at www.msia.org/class,
2. Watch or listen to the 1000 Ways to Happiness and Healing DVD/ CD with John Morton,
and 3. Listen to the Turning Points to Personal Liberation CD packet with John-Roger. It’s 40% off in our online store.

“As you create love, harmony, happiness, joy, and peace, these qualities will be returned to you. Then the world will become an easier, happier place in which to live.”
– John-Roger (From: Journey of a Soul)
