News from Heartfelt in Mexico City

Article imageAfter 3 years of Heartfelt volunteers regularly visiting the Home for Blind Girls in Puebla, last year wonderful things began to happen for the residents of the Home. First, they received 2 scholarships! One from Telmex (the largest telephone company in Mexico) which gave the house a computer with a free Internet connection and $70 per month. The other from the Credit Bureau, which is paying for Martha’s (one of the residents) studies of Organizational Psychology at the Tecnologicode Monterrey — one of the best Universities in Mexico — which includes her books and expenses. The home also received a very generous donation of money from an Insurance company.

Eduardo Herrera gives singing lessons to the girls, and I visit them often. This year was especially beautiful as some of them celebrated their 15th birthday (Quinceraneros).

It has been a wonderful year full of blessings. I am very grateful to be able to do this work through Heartfelt. I never thought I would get the results we have gotten in the past year, I only had to ask!!
