A Heartfelt Christmas Project at Casa del Sol Orphanage in Mexico

Article imageDecember 18th, 2004 was our Heartfelt Christmas project with the Casa del Sol Orphanage. Virginia Felsmann setup this whole project. We feel so happy, as it was truly a beautiful day. They have 56 children total, and 42 of them were old enough to participate with us, the rest are babies and all are waiting to be adopted.

21 volunteers assisted, and thanks to their donations, we managed to collect 20 hefty bags worth of donated clothing, which the orphanage later sells and makes money from. We arrived to meet the children, and while we gave them name tags, they had their faces painted as butterflies and Spiderman. Afterwards, a very funny clown called Jimmy Boy arrived and did a 1 hour show, and later made a balloon figure for each one of the kids.
