On Friday July 1st, the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) held the first day of the PTS workshop “Walking in the Light” at the Conference of Gratitude. And movement there was… lots of it! People greeted and hugged and loved each other when recognizing other Beloveds, and were warming up the Conference room with their joyous chatter and laughter.

At 10:00 a.m. Rachel Morgan welcomed us all to the workshop, and displayed and explained the Groundrules and Guidelines. This was followed by a demonstration of the music we would hear when all participants were expected to be seated. And what a demonstration it was! Out came a host of dancing assistants who were enthusiastically joined by John Morton (the facilitator), amidst gales of wholehearted belly-laughter and applause.

Next John Morton set up and explained the expectations and parameters for the workshop with great humour, integrity, and sensitivity. He covered such things as our reasons for attending, and requirements of attendance at the workshop, with one greatly appreciated reference to “Cor Leone” and “being Lion-Hearted”. Those who were present will understand what I mean!!

And lo and behold, when responding to the last query before commencing the core of the workshop, Spirit arranged one very special phone call to a new grandmother to come through. This showed us clearly that God’s definitely also in charge of mobile phones, and made it possible for all present in the room to welcome a newborn baby boy to this world, Luke William.

After a 20 minute break, we returned to the room to commence Walking in the Light in earnest, and were reminded by slides on the big screen to Listen to your Heart, Forgive, Breathe, Chant, and Listen. We watched a timely Moment of Peace, and then we were into the workshop content — very sacred, very Light-filled.

Lunch was an outside affair: the Sheraton Hotel catered a simple luncheon of beefburgers, sandwiches, fresh fruit, snacks, soft drinks and water. Light, yet filling.

When we re-entered the room after lunch there was a very appropriate visual message on the large screen at the sides of the room: Nat Sharratt’s new CD is called Walking in Paradise, and that is exactly what we are learning to do this Conference. Next we were aided in getting our bodies to settle back into the energy in the room by a DVD clip of one of John Morton’s fabulous guided meditations.

Kevin McMillan then spoke about the Heartfelt organization and the moving, miraculous and fun activities they undertake, and what is coming up with them in the near future. Carol Jones, Director of Programs of Peace Labyrinth and Gardens at Prana, told us about forthcoming events at Prana, and how she experienced them as brilliant, heartfelt, and touching. Also (and to some of us this is quite important!), they have some VERY good food there which is cooked by French chefs! Yup… I’ll be checking that out some more!!

We welcomed John Morton back to the stage with a warm and enthusiastic applause, and during the rest of the afternoon we spent almost three more hours with our Beloveds, learning and exercising to Walk in the Light. John answered questions patiently, thoroughly, and with great wisdom. He taught and explained in such a way that made it easier for most of us to understand, and learn, and grow, and lift; his use of analogies is clear and effective. I love his clear and humorous way of teaching!

And throughout this afternoon our Beloved J-R was present in loving support of us all, teaching us in ways unspoken. Such a wondrous day of immeasurable beauty!

So my warmest thank you, to all those that made this Conference a reality. And my eternal Love and Gratitude to John & J-R. God bless you, I love you, Peace… be still. I give you my Peace.
