PTS Announces the “Zen Of Spirit Retreat” in Southern Rural Japan with John Morton, October 19-31, 2002

Article imagePeace Theological Seminary is offering the “Zen of Spirit Retreat” in Southern Rural Japan in the fall of 2002. John Morton plans to participate, health and schedule permitting.

This is a new trip for PTS, taking us through green farming country and along the spectacular seacoasts of southern Japan. We will meet with local people ranging from farmers’ wives and fishermen to Buddhist country priests.

Throughout the retreat, we will dine on local produce and seafood, (each village is justly proud of its own unique cuisine), and watch craftsmen ply their ancient skills. It will be a rare day that doesn’t begin and end with a soak in one of the countryside’s famed hot springs!

The retreat will be facilitated by Paul Kaye, and the tour will be led by Steve Beimel. This retreat is limited to 60 participants. Register now to secure your space.
