The Institute for Individual and World Peace has now completed four rounds of the IIWP 32-Day World Wide Peace Prayer. 210 people participated in the first round on March 15 through April 15, 2004. John Morton launched the second round of the Prayer (July 1 through August 1) at the Gathering of Peacemakers event in Los Angeles, California, on July 1st of 2004. 238 people participated in that round. At the completion of the third prayer, we had 430 peacemakers participating, and currently we have over 500 peacemakers participating worldwide.
Joan Shea is the heart behind IIWP’s offering of this service to peace, and it is primarily her energy and focus that maintains and manages each round of the prayer itself. Here is Joan’s sharing about how the 32-Day Worldwide Peace Prayer came about:
“I first experienced the peace prayer shortly before the war in Iraq began. I had asked the Travelers and the Christ inwardly if there was anything I could share with others as a prayer focus. Then inwardly, I was lifted up and I joined in with thousands of Light Beings encircling the earth and chanting
