Zen of Spirit Tour in Kyoto Japan — Day 2

Click here for the photo slideshow from Japan.

We’ve arrived in Osaka; it’s about 6:00pm. We got the sound equipment easily through customs with lots of smiling and bowing. As we walked through the customs exit, Steve Beimel was there to give each of us a warm hug, along with his adorable assistant, Yoko Ono. Then it was onto the bus for a 2 hour drive to Kyoto. I’m in a mellow and kind of dozy place as my body adjusts to this time zone. Steve’s voice is very relaxing as he tells us about Kyoto. We pull up to our inn and already there are helpers outside to take our bags to our rooms. Again with smiles and gentle bows we’re escorted to our rooms. Tatami mats line our floor, and a beautiful wall hanging of a kimonoed lady in soft orange and gold hangs on our wall. A snack of fruit, pickles and seaweed and rice has been prepared for us, and our futons are laid on the floor – I’m just about ready to dive into mine because we have a 5:30am on the bus call tomorrow. Have yet to see Sensei Paul Kaye, but I heard he’s here. John Morton will join us tomorrow. Thanks for the Light. Keep it coming. Time for bed.
