Surprises From Spirit: A Joyful Internet Evening with John Morton and John-Roger

Live from my laptop in Florida, the October 7th Q&A with John Morton on the Internet began with several terrific Moments of Peace and promotions for MSIA study materials. Next, I enjoyed seeing our superior host, Jsu Garcia, in a few splendid minutes of warm-up mode. What a treat! From getting that glimpse of the impromptu pre-game activities, it felt more than ever before like I was in the Brentwood Room in Santa Monica alongside my California MSIA family.

The beautiful and talented Joanna St. Claire, accompanied by the sweet guitar-playing of Don Ward, helped us all realize our blessings once again by singing an original song, Count My Blessings, written by Joanna St. Claire and Don Ward. Rob Woo, their friend and studio recording engineer for their upcoming CD, was on hand to assist with the sound of this Spirit-filled song. The beauty of Joanna’s voice and uplifting sound of the song touched us all.

Jsu then introduced Leigh Taylor-Young who called in the Light in mesmerizing silence. As Leigh physically welcomed the Presence, she moved with incredible grace and ease. Although my view of Leigh was from my limited PC screen, my experience of Leigh’s blessing was of a magnificent radiance. The light Leigh called forth seemed to move right through the electronics in my lap to fill my heart.

We then had another sweet surprise — a delightful invocation by Gabe Marvis, son of Julie Marvis, who called in the Light with complete eloquence.. I shared a giggle with Gabe each time he tried to control his own innocent giggles. There’s really no containing Spirit’s joy, no matter what size we are. What a treasure to have a child lead us.

Jsu then introduced John Morton, Spiritual Director of MSIA, and long-time friend of Jsu’s. Jsu mentioned how “Captain John” recently returned from Europe where he gave the first-ever MSIA seminars in Italy! John also facilitated the wonderful and profound Walking in the Light workshop in London. We then watched a Moment of Peace of John-Roger and friends in Egypt. J-R’s message in the Moment of Peace video talked about finding the “supernatural man” inside ourselves, about knowing something wonderful has happened even when we don’t know how to explain it in words. John Morton then shared about some unexplainable recent events in his life, including several hundred emails simply vanishing from his computer. I heard John say that although he did his best to find them, he could not, and so he figured that Spirit had done something to help him simplify his life. John offered that when things happen that are unexplainable, it’s a sign that Spirit is on to you and you are on to the Spirit. And he added that with God, all things are possible.

John then took questions from Internet folks tuning in around the world and from participants in the Brentwood Room in Santa Monica. I heard John talk about how blessings come when we recognize our Godhood, when we let go and let God. For help with making addictions vanish, John suggested getting with our “invisible friends” inside through prayer. For helping a loved one with their addiction, John said to stand in a loving consciousness and remember that we can love someone no matter what they are doing.

John gave encouragement for overcoming hesitance about revealing oneself. By expressing oneself fully, John said, miracles can occur. To someone involved in writing a book, John said to make sure the process is satisfying to you and not to worry about who will read it. And, to have patience. He then reminded us that when Noah built the ark, it was dry and Noah’s actions looked silly. However, one day his efforts were considered brilliant!

For a question about helping family members with their problems, John asked if John-Roger was present. J-R’s loving voice then surprised everyone! J-R reminded us about always loving people in our hearts.

J-R shared again, reassuring someone with health concerns that they will be okay. Simply hearing J-R’s comforting words moved me, and those who I could see on the computer screen, to grateful tears. John then reminded us that we are always okay in Spirit. And to cooperate with our healthcare providers by asking for the power of the Lord to assist us and them.

For a question about handling criticism as we step forward to make the teachings of the Traveler available, John suggested that we move out of the negative opinions of others and get with the Traveler. I heard him said that it’s good to be tested because it strengthens our resolve and commitment and helps us see where we have doubts. Live in Truth, John said, and the love of who you are. When we talk about the teachings, John said with a twinkle in his eye, leave others smiling.

John closed the evening with a splendid blessing for us all, arm-in-arm with Jsu Garcia. Jsu sent Light to the entire planet by waving his hand across the top of the cute little globe that rotates on the bottom of my computer screen. He then sang “Just the Way You Are” in a touching tribute to John-Roger.

As the evening ended, I sat bleary-eyed yet filled with joy and peace. I could still hear Jsu singing the song that summed up the evening for me — God loves us just the way we are.

Thank you everyone for showing up everywhere. I’m looking forward to having you all in my lap again soon. Er, laptop, that is.
